"God, kid! You're so reckless!" Tony shouted, pulling at his hair. Peter sat on the couch in his lab, head down and hands tucked between his knees. "I tell you not to go after him and then guess what you do? YOU GO AFTER HIM!"

"I had to, Mr. Stark! You don't understand! He was stealing your tech!" Peter pleaded. Tony shook his head.

"You've done it, kid. You've pushed yourself over the edge. You're DONE being Spider-Man." Peter felt tears well in his eyes.

"But Mr. Stark! Please-" Tony cut him off.

"You're not getting out of this one. Get changed out of that bloody suit and give it to me. You have five minutes."

And with that, Tony walked out of the lab, slamming the door shut behind him.

Once he was gone, Peter broke out into full on sobs, crumpling to the floor. Tears streamed down his face as he pulled at his hair, rocking back and forth on his knees. Without the suit he was nothing.

With painful sobs leaving his mouth, Peter stood and began to slip the bloodied and wrecked suit from his skinny frame. He slid it off his body and reached for the clothes that Tony had slipped through the door.

The oversized gray sweater hung loosely on his frame and the baggy shorts well surpassed his knees. Balling the ruined red and blue suit he loved so much in his hands, Peter slammed it down onto the lab table. He walked over to a drawer and pulled out his old web shooters, clicking them onto his wrists.

As if on cue, the door opened and Tony came in, lips curled into a frown as he stalked over and grabbed the suit from the table, throwing it into a waste basket.

"Alright kid, go eat something. I know that aunt hottie hasn't been bringing in the big bucks lately," he instructed with a wave of his hand. Peter stared up at his mentor with his tear stained face, eyes filled with rage.

"How can you go from yelling at me to caring for my health?!" he exclaimed, exasperated. "I'm going home." The teenager turned and walked to the window, unlatching it and pushing it open. Tony's eyes widened in fear as he was about to reach out to grab the boy's sweater but came short, hand falling shamelessly to his side.

Peter catapulted himself out the window, the feeling of the rushing air on his face, momentarily calming him. It was only when he was twenty feet above the ground that he actually caught himself with a string of webbing, his momentum sending him flying through the air.

Luckily for him, the streets were abandoned; after all, it was half past two in the morning. Peter glanced back over his shoulder to see Tony standing in the window, watching him as he swung away.

The billionaire took Peter's work and thought he was going home.

Never trust a spider.

Peter ha decided he and MJ would finally run away together, like they had been planning. Being Spiderman was what really stopped him from leaving Queens. On the bright side, the seventeen year olds had never been out of the city since they were children.

After minutes of non stop swinging, Peter finally landed on MJ's windowsill, his knuckles rapping the glass softly. He looked in to see the teenage girl sat on her bed, reading a book. He knocked again, finally gaining her attention.

MJ put down her book and rushed over, unlatching the window and dragging the boy inside. Peter immediately kissed her passionately, pulling her into an embrace.

"Let's leave," he said breathlessly after pulling away. "Let's go to the Bahamas like you've always wanted. Have a new start."

MJ looked at him wildly.
