Chapter 8: Four letters

Chapter 8

Peeta's P.O.V.

I open my eyes. My head hurts.

I'm tied onto a chair. My hands are tied behind me and the chair back, my legs are tied against the chair legs.

I look around. I see the others still knocked out and tied up exactly like me.

I think we're in a basement. It's cold and icy. I can hear water drop.

I try to get loose from the rope. I don't succeed of course.

I need to get home. I need to get out of here. I need to go back to my girls. I promised them I wouldn't die. I promised them.

I see how Finnick is starting to move. He opens his eyes and seem to be confused.

He tries to get his arms loose, but can't. He starts to look around and sees me.

"Peeta..." He says in a husky voice. "What... What happened?"

"I-I don't know", I say. "We walked right into a trap".

Cato and Marvel are starting to wake up.

They are both as confused.

"What happened?" They ask at the same time.

As we start to remember, Marvel starts to panic.

"GLIMMER IS DUE ANY SECOND! I CAN'T DIE!" He roars and starts to struggle against the ropes.

"Marvel calm down! You're not helping her by doing this!" Finnick hisses. "We have to figure out how to..."

The door opens.

Four big men with balaclavas.

"Our boss has decided that you can say one last goodbye to your families", one of them says. "He values families".

What?

They undo our arms but keep a gun to our heads. If we make even the smallest wrong move, they'll blow our brains out.

How are be suppose to say goodbye?

Katniss P.O.V.

I don't know what to do or feel. I can't break down because of the girls.

But I'm breaking down every night when the girls are asleep.

I still haven't told anyone that I'm pregnant. I was going to tell them, but before I got the chance we got that terrible news.

I'm pregnant and my husband is missing.

My Peeta is gone. No one has said that he's dead, but what else can he be when he has been kidnapped?

Annie, Clove and Glimmer are in the same boat. I mean their husbands and boyfriend are kidnapped along with Peeta.

We are never going to see our boys again. They're gone. They're just gone. Forever.

Will and Felicia has now moved in with me and the girls. And with the girls I don't only mean Riley and Becca. We do what we've always done. As soon as the boys are away for a longer time, we all live in the same house.

Annie share a room with Fisher, Clove with Nathaniel and Glimmer alone with her belly.

Peeta's and my house has enough rooms. And because everything is breaking for me, Annie, Clove and Glimmer, Will and Felicia has moved in to help out with the kids.

Right now Felicia walks through the door with a lot of mail in her hands.

"So I've to all of your houses, and I picked up yours right outside Katniss and it seems like you all have been assigned a hand written letter each", she says and gives us our mail.
