Y/n's POV

I rubbed my eyes groggily as I stumbled towards the exit of the hospital, clearly disoriented. I don't remember what happened to cause me to be this way. The last thing I remember was that I had left Stiles to get his MRI done. When I got outside, a nice gust of fresh air hit my skin, and I immediately felt ten time better. But then things got worse. They always do. I opened my eyes just in time to see Kira grab an electrical wire gone haywire, and she stopped its electric current with her hands. I thought that everything would be okay after that, but that's when I saw Derek kneeling next to Isaac in a puddle of water, concern written all over his face.

"Scott! He's not breathing!" Derek yelled at my brother, who was standing a couple of yards away.

"Isaac! Isaac!" I shout and run over to my boyfriend. "Oh my god!"

"I'm gonna go get help. Stay with him," Derek ordered and ran towards the hospital.

"Isaac, I need you to come back to me. Please," I plead and interlock my hands before starting compressions on his heart. Working at the hospital, I had to be CPR trained. And while I had taken the last few months off of work to get readjusted to school, I still remembered all of my medical training. After doing 30 compressions, I leaned down, tilted Isaac's chin back, and delivered 2 breaths into his mouth. I did this same routine over and over again. 30 compressions, 2 breaths. "Come on, Isaac. Come on! I can't lose you! Please!"

"He's over here," Derek directed and led some medical personnel to our location.

"Y/n, we've got him," Melissa assured me and pulled me away from Isaac.

"Please tell me he's alive. Please!" I beg and clutch onto my mother, who was holding me as the doctors did their work.

"We've got a pulse," one of the doctors informed me.

"Did you hear that, Y/n? He's okay. He's okay," Melissa repeated to me. While that should have been a relief, it wasn't, because in my head I kept repeating three words.

Yeah, for now.

...................................................

"Any news?" Scott asked our mom as the two of us got ready to leave for school.

"They're still looking for him. It's past the 48-hour mark, but I guess if anyone's going to be missing for two days and turn up just fine, it's Stiles," Melissa noted.

"Are you sure you don't remember anything, Y/n? You were the last one seen with him," Scott reminded me.

I shook my head. "I'm sorry, Scott. Like I told Sheriff Stilinski, I don't remember much from that night. Oddly, I don't know what happened. I've never had trouble remembering something before. The doctors think I might have hit my head, which could be causing the amnesia, but they're not sure. Onto other things, any word on Isaac?"

"Maybe we should go by the hospital before school," Melissa suggested. At the hospital, we found Allison sitting in the chairs outside Isaac's room. She was asleep, but when Scott touched her shoulder, she slowly woke up.

"Have you been here all night?" Scott implored.

Allison nodded. "Yeah, but they won't let me see him because I'm not family. I told them he doesn't have any."

"He's got us. And I've got a key card," Melissa added and pressed her ID to the scanner next to the door. "Be quick."

Up to this moment, I had held in my emotions pretty well, but as soon I stepped into Isaac's hospital room, and I saw my boyfriend laying in a hospital bed with burns covering half of his body, I couldn't stop the tears from falling from my eyes. I surged forward, pushing my way past Scott and Allison, and took up a position next to his bed, my hand automatically gravitating towards his.
