Chapter 2-Monday

The school bell redeemed Yuki from the torture called „Math". She jumped up, crammed her stuff into her school bag and ran out of the classroom. In the hallways, she was waiting for Hiko who came a bit later. „Jeez, don't be so slow next time!" Yuki complained. Hiko threw a look at her. „...Don't be so fast next time." She sighed. „You stormed out of the classroom like you were chased by wolves. Are you in rush or something?", „No. Just wanted to get my butt out of the math lesson as quickly as possible." Hiko rolled with her eyes. „Sheesh... You're exaggerating.", „No, I'm not. Math is the greatest torture ever invented.", „For you, maybe. I think it's rather chilly.", „You're unnormal!" Yuki said. Hiko just sighed annoyed and went through the hallways in the direction of the exit to the schoolyard. Yuki followed her.
At the schoolyard, they went to their favorite place, a tree trunk near the fence, far away from the other students. On the way there, Yuki and Hiko came past two of their classmates, Marina and Caitlyn. „Do you think he may like me one day?" Marina asked. Caitlyn twisted her hair around her finger. „...I don't know, maybe he doesn't like younger girls." Yuki stopped walking. „Excuse me, ladies. Who are you talking about?", „About that upper class guy next to the cafeteria." Caitlyn answered. „Marina saw him for the first time and is totally crazy about him. Just spoke to him once and showed him the secretary's office, so-", Not true!" Marina said. „I mean... okay, he's very hot and stuff... but I'm not „crazy" at him at all!", „Oh yeah?" Hiko looked her up and down. „For that, you're kinda red in your face." Marina whimpered and hid her face behind her hands. Yuki turned around and looked at the person who they were talking about. When she recognized him, her eyes nearly fell out of her face. „LUCIF....?!" Hiko quickly put a hand in front of her mouth and suffocated her words. „Shut up..." she whispered and then took her hand away again. „Do you know him?" Marina asked hopefully. „Sort of, yeah." Hiko replied. „But up to now, I didn't know he attends this school." She looked at Yuki with a look that demanded ‚Don't say anything wrong, okay?'. Yuki inhaled. „Exactly. Well then, see you after break.", „Can you ask him whether he likes younger girls?" Marina asked and Caitlyn slightly punched her shoulder. „Cut it out already, will ya?!" Hiko didn't pay any attention at them anymore. She grabbed Yuki's hand and dragged her to the person at the cafeteria. It was Lucifer himself. And Satan stood next to him. „What the hell are you guys doing here in Starfell Academy?" Hiko asked them. „Oh, hey, Hiko and Yuki!" Satan greeted them. „Hey, Satan." Yuki replied. Lucifer shook his head. "You'd better not use our real names here...", he said. "Call me Kaito Murakami while I'm here.",
"I'm Raiden Murakami here!" Satan grinned. Seeing Lucifer and Satan in those ashen school uniforms was somehow a new experience. Also, they both wore green contact lenses to hide their red eyes. "To answer your question..." Lucifer began, "...I did write it into the group chat last Wednesday, but well...",
"Oh, you think I read through the ten thousand messages that cluttered up the chat that day?" Hiko asked.
"No, I guess you don't. Anyway, I saw something with Future Fragment that I didn't like and.... where there are a lot of people, you hear a lot of news and rumors, so we came here. ...Besides, he gets bored too much otherwise." He tapped Satan's upper arm.
"Not true at all!" Satan grumbled.
"How... did you drag him here?" Hiko asked in surprise.
"I just pulled him into the bus by his collar," Lucifer answered calmly. "He usually sleeps way too much for me and his cookie consumption has escalated.",
"Not at all! That's a lie!" his brother whined, but Lucifer nicely and quietly ignored him.
"Ah well. Sounds logical." Hiko nodded.
"Yes, doesn't it?",
"Well, at least Kenji's in my class. He can distinguish sarcasm from irony, which is great." Satan crossed his arms like a petulant child.
"Kenji? You mean Kenji Sawano?" Hiko wanted to know. "Isn't that that blue-haired guy in charge of the computers and school servers?",
"That's right," Satan replied. "He's the one who keeps all the technical stuff up and running here at school.",
"Ah, yes, then I know him. He put Windows 10 on my laptop and got me an Office license. Seems like a nice guy."

The school bell rang. „What do you have now?" Yuki asked. „History." Lucy answered. „Yack!" Satan said and earned a destructive glare from Lucy. „Stop that nonsense." Satan raised his hands like he wanted to indicate he surrendered. „Hey, chill okay?" Lucy just shook his head. „We see each other in the next break. Until then, have fun.", „Yeah, absolutely. In Physics? That's literally Math two point zero. I'm really going to enjoy it." Yuki said. Satan smiled. „I could smell sarcasm all over you.", „It was sarcasm. I mean, Physics is better than Math in the end, but still...", „Stop grumbling around and move your butt already, I don't wanna arrive in the room too late." Hiko interrupted her. „Okay, okay!" Yuki waved at the two other demons. „C'ya!"

Lucy and Satan went into another direction, went through the front door and climbed up the stairs to their classroom. „I warn you, my lovely brother. Don't you dare sleeping in History." Lucy warned him. Satan sighed. „...I got it.", „Great." Lucy entered the classroom first and went to his solo table, while Satan sat down next to Kenji. „I'm back again.", „Hi." Kenji looked at him. All of the students in their class arrived one after another. One of them was the most popular girl in school, Irina Asahara. When she entered the classroom, her eyes were red. Kenji leaned to Satan and whispered: „Huh... Irina cried. Again.", „She did? That poor girl. Why?" Satan whispered back. Kenji nodded. „She had an argument with her boyfriend again...", „Huh..." Irina suddenly started to scream. „I'm sick of it! It's a sickness! The fucking devil send us a disease and we call it love!"

Lucifer jerkily raised his head and stared at her. "..." His face looked calm, but he was definitely anything but excited about it. His hands clenched into fists and he was literally seething. He took a deep breath to force himself to calm down.'You'll... You'll be sorry,' Satan thought to himself. He was the only one who had the right to insult his brother! The devil does this, the devil does that, the devil is bad, blah blah blah. What nonsense. It wasn't Lucy's fault that she had bad luck in her relationship! That was her own incompetence. He stood up and walked over to Lucifer. "Can I punch her in the face?", "How about no?" his brother asked. "How about yes?", "No." "But she insulted you!", "I know, Raiden.", "Then why can't I?", "At least don't do it in public, okay?", "Can I be mean to her?", "Do as you desire.", "Yay!"
