Chapter 5- Monday

When Yuki and Hiko arrived, Satan waved at them. "Yo!", "Hey, Raiden!" Hiko shouted and went over to him with Yuki. "Where's Kaito?" she asked. "Buying some Mikado at the supermarket. He will join us soon." Satan replied. "Have you already kicked that Nakamura-guy's ass?" Yuki asked. "No, not yet." Satan answered. "I will do it tomorrow.", "Okay." Yuki nodded. At that moment, Lucy came to join them. He had a parcel with Mikado in his hands. "I'm back.", "Hey, Kaito." Hiko greeted him. Lucy nodded towards her and then opened the parcel. "Are you going to the bus stop?" Satan asked. "No, I'm heading to the city train station nearby." Yuki said. "But Hiko will go to the bus station.", "So will we." Lucy said. "We'll head to Lostvein, there are plenty of little alleys where we can open a portal without problem.", "I see." Hiko nodded as they saw Marina come out of the school building. When she saw Lucy, she blushed and ran away into another direction. "Wow, that's a heavy one you got there, bro." Satan slightly pushed his elbow in Lucy's ribs. "Shut up." Lucy murmured and put one Mikado in his mouth. Satan grinned brightly. "Don't even think about it." Lucy warned him. "Try to stop me." Satan replied with an evil look on his face. His hand shot to the front and snapped the parcel out of Lucy's hands. He took one of the sweets out of it and put it into his mouth. "Hehe." Lucy looked at him with an annoyed face. "You're dead, Raiden." Hiko said. In that moment, Lucy's hand closed around Satan's wrist and squeezed it. "OUCH!" Satan wailed. He let go of the parcel. Lucy's other hand caught it and his arm then wrapped itself around Satan's neck. Lucy choked him. "Next time... I will cut your hand off." he threatened. "I was just messing around!" Satan said with a suffocated voice. "I warn you. If you really want to lose your life, do it again. I will first cut your hands off, then beat you up and then break every single one of your bones including your neck." Lucy hissed. "Okay, I stop it!" Satan surrendered. Lucy loosed up his grip and Satan struggled for breath. "Ugh... With you, no one can have fun, you sourpuss!" he complained. Lucy said nothing. 

"Guys, can we go now?" Yuki asked. "My mangas don't read themselves on their own." Lucy nodded. "Yeah. We can go." He turned around and started walking. Satan rubbed his wrist. "You have a tight grip, bro." Lucy looked over his shoulder with an evil smirk. "I thought you better deal with my grip than with my knives, y'know?", "Very friendly." Satan grumbled. When they arrived at the bus stop, Yuki said goodbye to them. "C'ya tomorrow!" she said. Hiko nodded. "Yeah. Don't forget to do your homework for English today, alright?", "Yeah, yeah... I won't forget.", "Are you certain? I am never all too sure about you doing your homework. Mostly, you forget it." Yuki sighed. "Okay, THIS time, I'm not gonna forget.", "I hope so. Or you owe me one euro." she joked. Yuki stretched out her tongue to her. "Funny." Hiko just laughed.
I will not remind you of it. 
'Did I ask for your opinion, Yukira?'
I will state it anyway. She yawned. I'm bored...
'When aren't you bored?'
When you're reading. It's a nice way to pass time. 
'You get it when I read?'
You didn't seriously ask me that, did you? 
'Haha... I'm just joking.'

The next day, Lucy peeked into Satan's room. His brother was still sleeping. "Hey." Lucy said and went over to him. He was already wearing the school uniform. Satan didn't react. "Hey!" Lucy said louder and slightly boxed against Satan's shoulder. Still no reaction. "Are you kidding me..." Lucy sighed and squatted down in front of him. He grabbed his shoulder and shook Satan heavily. "....mh?" Satan opened one eye. "You need to get up, sleepy head!" Lucy said. "We need to go to school now.", "I'm not asleep, I'm dead... Put flowers down and leave...", "Dead people don't talk.",
"Shoot, I exposed myself!" he whined. "Fine, fine... Gimme five minutes." Lucifer sighed and let go of him. "You will fall asleep again, so move your ass already.", "Lucy, seriously, give me 5 minutes to wake up...", "What did I say about calling me this way?" Lucifer asked with a threat in his voice. Satan closed his eye again. "...Do you prefer to be called Lulu?" he asked sleepily. "Hell no!" Lucifer said. "Just quit calling me weird names and get up!", "In 5 minutes." Satan answered. Lucy rolled with his eyes and turned around. He grabbed his bag and threw it over his shoulder. "Fine. Don't come too late. I'll be going." With these words, he left their mansion and headed down the rocky pathway. Etana saw him coming and waved at him. "Good morning, Lucifer!" Lucy looked up. "Hello, Etana. Can you do me a favor, please?", "Sure." the blue-haired demon nodded. "Great. If Satan doesn't come out of there in twenty minutes, kick his ass out, okay?" Etana grinned. "I am allowed to do that?", "In this case, you are. I need to get going now because I don't wanna be late, but Satan will surely fall asleep again, that lazy good-for-nothing. Just get his ass kicked out so he will at least come in time. I don't care how. Pour cold water over him or just drag him out the door, think of something.", "As you wish." Etana slightly and politely bowed herself to him with an evil grin and Lucifer stepped through a gate. 

A few minutes before the school bell rang, Satan arrived. His hair was unkempt and sticking out on all sides, and he seemed to be half asleep. He sat down next to Kenji and rested his head on the table. Kenji looked at him. "You're late,"
"I'm sorry about that. I was too caught up enjoying my last few moments of not being here. Before someone brutally chased me out of bed..."Kenji laughed out."That's not funny..." the demon grumbled. "And I don't even believe myself when I say I'll be done in five minutes.","Neither do I," his friend admitted, "You were almost late all the time when we were working together.","Meh... I almost poked my eye out with the toothbrush and dropped two glasses...","Huh... Maybe math class will wake you up right.","Math?" Satan groaned."Yeah.","...Why did I come out of my quiet chamber again?","I don't know." Kenji put his folder, pad, book, and pencil case on the table. "Did you do the homework?","Kaito made me do it...", he answered."Good.","No... It wasn't funny. When my brother makes me do something, he's more annoying than a little three-year-old kid screaming nonstop. He's really good at that command tone, he could yell at an entire army..." "Oh. Poor Raiden.","Thanks for your fake pity..." grumbled Satan, still not lifting his head. Even when the teacher walked in, he didn't move."Hey." Kenji jabbed his elbow lightly into Satan's ribs. "Class is about to start.","Is it just one period or two?" asked Satan wearily."Two.", "Aw, damn. I hate Tuesday already. I mean, I don't necessarily hate math.... But it's overwhelming my brain. Two mentally taxing lessons early in the morning.... My brain cells aren't prepared for that yet.","Poor guy." Kenji smiled."I know you still don't have any real pity," Satan sighed, lifting his head as slowly as if it were as heavy as a bowling ball. The school bell rang.

After a while, Kenji glanced at Satan, whose head was stuck on the worksheet that had unsolved systems of equations written on it. "Raiden... Don't fall asleep...","Dude, let me... My head is hot, I think it's about to overheat.... I can see the smoke already...","You can really be a drama queen." He laughed softly. "What of this stuff don't you get?","Dude... I stopped understanding Maths when the alphabet decided to get involved..." He raised his head. "My brain is like an internet browser. 32 tabs are open and 16 of them are frozen. 3 more crashed and 5 more won't load."Kenji smiled. "Error 404, page not found?","Exactly." Satan nodded slowly. "My brain is all over the place right now. I need to shut it down for a moment.","Want me to fix it for you?" Kenji put a finger to his temple and grinned. "Don't waste your time... This is something even you can't handle.","Then it's hopeless.","Something like that, yeah. The only way to reload and restore all the stuff going on in my head is to sleep.","Why did I know you were going to say that?","Because you know me well..."Kenji leaned back a little. "I'll update your data later.","You are a true friend, Kenji." Satan put his head back on the table. Kenji put the math book down so that he couldn't be seen behind it and was shielded from the teacher's gaze.
