Chapter 20

"You're late." Yuki said when Satan arrived. He nodded. "Yeah, I know... I was allowed to watch something truly spectacular.", "What was it?" Hiko asked. Satan tilted his head. "I was just walkin' my way down here when I heard Kagami and Elaine talking to each other. Very entertaining..." He looked at Lucy and grinned brightly. "They were arguing.", "About what?" Lucy asked and tried to seem as uninvolved as ever. "Who has the right to ask you out and marry you later." Lucy nearly choked on his own spit and started coughing like hell while Yuki and Hiko had to laugh. Satan patted on Lucy's back and the devil held his hands in front of his mouth before he raised his head. "You're making jokes, aren't you?", "No. Not the slightest bit." Satan replied. "That little 'argument' turned into a cat fight with hair pulling.", "Oh god, please kill me." Lucifer held his forehead and Yuki chuckled. "Aww, that's so cute.", "Shut up." Lucy said and looked truly unlucky. "Why is this happening to me...", "My brother is such a hot guy, everybody just craves him!" Satan put an arm around Lucy's neck and Lucy tried to dodge, but he wasn't fast enough. "Satan, stop!" he said but Satan just grinned. "No~", "SA-" Lucy bit on his tongue before he accidently could scream out Satan's name. "I mean, Raiden!" Satan laughed and let go of Lucy. "Okay, sorry." 
The last period for this day was P.E. Aoi-Sensei wanted to start with basketball today. The students greeted him when they came in. "Hello, Aoi-Sensei." Lucy said. "Hello, Raiden.", "I'm Kaito.", "Oh, excuse me. Kaito, of course." Aoi laughed nervously. "Where am I with my head..." They sat down on the benches and Satan leaned to Lucy. "...I guess he's doing that intentionally...", "What?", "Mixing us up.", "I don't think so..." Aoi made ticks on his list to check whether everybody was there before he clapped into his hands. "Okay! I suggest each of you takes a basketball, dribbles through the gym a little bit and throws onto the baskets to warm up." Everybody stood up and got some basketballs and started following the command. But it didn't last even three minutes before Lucy got nearly hit by a lost ball. He could catch it with his free hand while still dribbling his own ball with his other. Then, he wedged his own ball under his arm and looked around. "Whoops.", "S-Sorry, Kaito-kun!" It was Kagami. "You should take better care of your ball." Lucy commented with a faked smile on his face before he threw it towards Kagami. She caught it. "My deep apologies, I didn't mean to...!", "No big deal. I didn't get hit, so it's all fine." Kagami quickly went away when Lucy could hear giggling. "And she blushed again!", "Shut up, Raiden." Lucy turned around to his brother. Satan was standing next to him, together with Kenji. "She's really mad at you, Kaito." Kenji identified. "Yeah, thanks, I noticed that." Lucy responded. "Can we, like, talk about something else, eventually?", "Sure." Kenji and Satan looked at each other before they started compeeding against each other in who threw the most baskets. 
After school was over, Lucy and Satan went back into the school building. Lucy wanted to go to his locker once again to deposit his books in there. Satan waited next to him. "I am sure someone will stalk you." he said. Lucifer sighed. "Could you please stop trying to make me paranoid?", "Why? It's fun.", "For you, maybe." Lucy put his books into his locker and closed it before locking it again. "Alright, let's go." He went past Satan towards the entrance and then stopped walking. He saw some teachers smoking in front of the school gate and slowly walked back in backwards. Satan nearly ran into him and could avoid that in the last moment. "Eh... what's wrong?", "Smoking people." Lucifer responded. "....Let's go out here somewhere else.", "Great idea." Lucifer nodded. They went out and then immediately turned left towards the gym. There however, Satan sighed. "We got a problem.", "Tell me.", "The gate behind the sport's field is closed...", "Oh no.", "Oh yes.", "We needa go through the front entrance...?", "Yupp.", "...Shit.", "You nailed it." Satan nodded. So, they turned around and went back into the direction they came from. "Bad news." Satan mumbled. "They're still smoking?" Lucy asked. "Yepp.", "...You got something to cover up our noses?", "No.", "To cover our eyes?", "Negative.", "DAMN, WE'RE CAGED!!!" Lucifer clenched his teeth. The scent of smoke always filled him with disgust, especially since a demon's nose was even sharper than the one of a human. In addition to that, smoke made his eyes burn like hell. Not as bad as onions did, but still. Satan tilted his head. "...We could try climbing over the fence." Lucy looked at the iron fences surrounding the school yard. "Great idea.", "They don't really look stable though..." Satan mumbled. "Jump?" Lucy asked. "Seems like the better option to me." Satan nodded towards him. Lucifer looked around and checked whether nobody payed any attention to them. Then, he ran towards the fence and jumped over it. Satan followed his example and landed on the other side safely. "Okay, there always is a way." he said. Lucy nodded. "Yep. Lucky for us." He dug his hands in the pockets of his jacket and started walking normally again. Satan followed him. 

At the next day at school, Satan entered the classroom with wet hair and a face that was totally not amused. "Well, well. Look who finally decided to show up." he said. "Hello, Friday." Kenji looked at him. "Uhm... what's up with you? Did you take a shower or something?" Satan took out one side of his headphones. "No. I am perfectly fine. Kaito just... let that little beast torture me again.", "What?", "That blue-haired witch terrorist from a horror movie aka. Kaito's personal torture-Raiden-awake- alarm clock poured water over me while I was asleep." He sat down with huge rings under his eyes. "...You look like you have some kind of deadly sickness...", "Yeah, I woke up tired like five days ago and haven't fully recovered since.", "That's how you look... I am also tired as hell right now. I feel like I could fall asleep any moment.", "I feel like I'm already tired tomorrow." Satan responded and placed his head on the table.
