When he finally calmed down, he abruptly turned to Kenji. He was no longer conscious and his shirt scarlet red. "Damn it... no healing magic..." He looked around. Somewhere there was a hospital nearby... He quickly pulled out his phone and searched for the nearest hospital on Google Maps. He memorized the route and lifted Kenji on his arms before he started running. He could still hear Kenji breathe, so that was a good thing- however, he was afraid that he would arrive to late and his friend would lose too much blood. That would be catastrophic.

He reached the hospital and stormed right in. "Help!!!" He screamed. The people instantly reacted and Kenji was taken into the emergency admission. There was nothing left for Satan to do but wait. He hated waiting. It was like torture... waiting and knowing you are capable of doing nothing. He called Lucifer.
"Yeah, what's up, Satan?" the devil replied. "A Honekraa managed to get inside the city..." Satan said. "Kenji got heavily injured. I killed it...",
"How could it get inside?",
"I don't know! Please, come over here!" It was silent on the other end of the line. Then, Lucifer said but three words: "On the way."
When one of the doctors left, he cut off his path. "How is he?",
"His state is pretty bad", he answered. "He lost a huge amount of blood before coming here. I fear he needs a blood transfusion, the odds are pretty low he survives otherwise.",
"I could donate blood!",
"Do you know your blood group?",
"...No...",
"We can't give a blood transfusion without knowing your blood is a match.",
"Is there time for an examination?",
"..." The doctor nodded quietly.
"Then make one! Please!" The doctor nodded quietly at him and told him to come with him. Satan looked over his shoulder as the door opened and Lucifer entered the emergency admission. He seemed to be able to read Satan's pleading gaze. He nodded silently and closed his eyes for a moment. He slowed down the flow of time so that Satan had enough time to go through the examination. The doctor wouldn't know.
Satan had blood taken from his body and the doctor took the sample to the lab where it was examined. In the meantime, Satan went to his brother. "What exactly happened?" Lucifer wanted to know. "I walked through the city with Kenji and then suddenly there was this monster..." , "Was it just the one or were there more of them?", "I don't know!" Lucifer frowned. "That's bad. Something seems to be terribly wrong with the barrier. We have to go check on it.",
"I'll not leave until I have the results of my blood examination." Lucifer closed his eyes. "Time is passing by at one third of its current speed. Everyone here in this hospital can move without being affected by it. Kenji's blood flow is adjusted to the time's speed, I hope that will be enough time for us to still be able to help.", "I hope so too..."
After a while, the doctor came back with the results. "And?" Satan was immediately alerted. "There was no clumping. Your blood is compatible.",
"Good... That's good! So can I donate it?",
"Yeah. Please come with me." Satan nodded and went with the doctor. Lucifer went with them and then let the time pass faster again. He hoped the best outcome for the two of them as he stopped at the door. Kenji's wound was still bleeding. Everyone in the room was busy trying to stop it. Lucifer's eyes started glowing slightly as he sped up the healing process and triggered blood clotting to stop the bleeding. There was just a whole lot of blood required to do so, since the wound was really great. Satan received a cannule and a thin tube was attached to it. Soon, Satan could see his own blood flow through it and right into Kenji's body. Lucifer sped up the process so Kenji's body would receive new oxygen-carrying blood cells before he body suffered from the lack of those. He knew that Satan's blood was of demonic origin and would strengthen Kenji's body temporarily, just like he knew blood cells had a total life span of 120 days or four months. The forming of one blood cell took seven days in total. Kenji wouldn't turn into a demon as long as his body didn't start producing demonic blood cells on its own, which it wouldn't do since he was human.

When the process was over, the two of them were sent out. "My blood will strengthen him, right..." Satan assumed. "Right." Lucifer nodded. "If we're lucky, he will wake up soon again." He touched Satan.
"What are you doing?",
"Speeding up the process of your own blood cell formation. We might have to get into more serious fights later on. You lack blood on your own now, so you're weaker and have less endurance due to less oxygen being transmitted through your body. That's a hindrance in that case, so I make up for that.",
"Thank you, brother... But you have wasted your energy, too.",
"You don't say... I'll buy some food later to help restore mana...",
"Do we have time for that?",
"I can eat while walking and fighting. No problem.",
"...Yeah, right..." Satan rolled his eyes.

The doctors left Kenji's room. One of them looked at Satan. "...He woke up.",
"Really? Thank goodness! Can I go see him?",
"Sure.",
"I wait here for you..." Lucifer promised. "Go."
Satan nodded and entered Kenji's room. The blue-haired high schooler looked out of the window. His hair was untied and his skin pale. As Satan came in, he turned his face to him. His face was almost expressionless and he said absolutely nothing. He just looked at him with his brown eyes, his hands resting on the white blanket. His torn shirt had been exchanged with a red and black pullover with white zigzag lines, hiding the bad wounds and bandages around his torso. A big plaster was visible on his left cheek. For a while, it was silent between the two. Satan started to feel more uncomfortable, with each silent moment passing by. And with every single one of those minutes, it dawned to him that Kenji knew about his dark, dark secret. He took a deep breath. "... I... I can imagine you don't want to see me anymore, Kenji..." he started and lowered his head resignedly. "Believe me, I don't blame you... I can understand why... You have all right to reject me now, who would want to have a demon as a friend... I just... came here to say that I'm sorry... for all that happened and for lying to you about my identity...",
"...Hm." Kenji looked away and still kept quiet. "I'm so sorry... I know you hate me now, it can't be helped..."
Kenji closed his eyes. "Shut up."
Satan clenched his hands to fists and looked at his sandals. "...",
"I was waiting for you to say something and I expected that you'd go into that direction, but I don't want to hear it. Answer me, Raiden... or should I say 'Satan'?" Kenji now looked at him.
"I..." Satan closed his eyes.
"...Why should I hate you?"
