Chapter 29

Right when the two rushed out of school, Satan called Kenji. His classmate took off in audible surprise. "Yo, Raiden, why are you calling me?", "Kaito ain't feeling so well. I'm accompanying him home, can you tell Mr. Eliot that we both skip school for the rest of the day?", "Uh... Sure. What's wrong with Kaito?" Satan rushed over a street and nearly got hit by a car. He could save himself by jumping to the side. Lucifer looked at him with a glance clearly telling him to watch the fuck out. "He's... dizzy and feels sick. His stomach hurts.", "Oh, well then... Tell him I wish him to get well soon!", "I'm gonna tell him that. I count on you, Ken! Thanks!" Satan hang up. "Good lie", Lucifer said. "But why did you make me the victim?", "Because you are mean to me and I wanted to be mean back.", "Miffed kid.", "Shut up." Satan put his phone away. Their school uniforms started glowing simultaneously and got replaced by their everyday wear: Lucifer's black coat and white T-Shirt and Satan's black, red-trimmed jacket and waist coat. Lucifer looked at his phone. "Message from Awari. They've spotted the Ninqairas. One is somewhere near the National Museum of Culture and History, the other one is somewhere near the Television Tower.", "Just two?" Satan asked. "Yeah, at the moment. I go to Television Tower. You head towards the museum. Got it?", "Gotcha.", "Alright." Lucifer jumped onto a roof and Satan followed his example. "We meet up at the Central Plaza, 'kay?", "Alright." Satan nodded. The two separated.

Satan stopped near the museum and leaned against a chimney. He had plugged in his in-ear headphones on the way and listened to Starset's Monster. A message popped up on his phone. It was from Lucy.

Satan looked at Google Maps. Iris Alley was a very little street further up north. Easy. Satan smiled and headed there via the roofs until he could see the Ninqaira. It was inside the alley and sniffed at a garbage can. It seemed to be disgusted by it. "Rrrrr...", "Hey! Ugly!" Satan yelled while Starset's My Demons was playing in his ears. The wolf growled and raised its head up to him. He jumped down, putting his red and black hat on his head. "Lookin' for something, pea-brain?" The wolf narrowed its eyes and lowered its head, showing its dangerous teeth. It growled before it attacked Satan. With its razor sharp teeth, it snapped at Satan but he extended his leg and made his leg crash against its jaws. The Ninqaira shrank back shaking itself. Satan charged a Cosmis Energy Beam and unleashed it, but the Ninqaira was quick enough to dodge and attack. It stroke at Satan with its dagger-like claws. Now, he needed to dodge. He jumped back. "Descent of the Falling Stars!" He sent out many light beams at once that hit the Ninqaira. It howled and shrank further back. "Checkmate, cur! Lunar Crescent Blade!" He drew an arch with his fingers and fired a silver blade at the monster. It hit it at its rips and injured it badly. Satan used that short moment of pain to run forward and punch that beast so hard it got smashed against the wall. Several of its bones broke like matches and a quiet whimpering escaped it when it was laying at the wall, bleeding and barely alive. Satan went towards it. "Now then, I'll release you from your pain~" His next Cosmic Energy Beam finished it off.

Lucifer gazed down upon his target. "Disgusting creature..." he mumbled. Then, he opened his hand and made time flicker for a moment. The Ninqaira instantly reacted on the magic use and looked up. Lucifer started running, away from the street that lead to the crowd. The Ninqaira followed him roaring. When he arrived at Jasmine, he hid behind a chimney and waited until the Ninqaira arrived. It sneaked into the street growling. Lucifer shoved his hands to the inside of his coat and pulled out some of his knives. Six, to be exact. Then, he revealed himself, jumped down and threw the knives directly at the monster. He sped them up using his Time Magic so that thing didn't have the slightest chance of dodging. One of them hit its eye and made it squeak like a rusty steel gate. Two drilled themselves into its back, two landed in its neck and one landed in the wolf's forehead. It howled and collapsed immediately. Lucifer landed on the raw street's asphalt and straightened up again. "I wonder how these things got inside. There must be a problem with the barrier... we should probably investigate the case closer." His phone rang. He took off. "Yeah? Lucifer here. What's the matter, Awari?", "Have you slain your target?" she asked. "Yeah. Why?", "We've spotted some more heading north. I guess they are going to the place where Satan is.", "To Iris Alley?", "If he is there, then yeah. I guess so. I currently am near Acacia Road and follow them a bit, but it appears clear to me that that's what they head for. Satan's Magic must've attracted them.", "Tell him to stay there. He shall slay them all. I'm waiting at our meeting point. Awari, I demand you and Helaria to go and check out the barrier. There must be a hole or something. If there is, Helaria shall close it with an energy shield.", "Roger that."Awari hang up.

Satan just wanted to head out of Iris Alley as a phone call arrived. He took off. "Yeah, Awari? Satan here. You ruined my music.", "I'm sorry 'bout that. Don't go away yet", Awari said. "There are more targets coming your way. Lucifer demands you to slay them all.", "How many?", "Three. Sakimara and Ravana still keep the road shut down.", "Child's play~ Thank you, Awari. Tell Luce I'm gonna accept his request!", "Got it." Satan smiled. "So, the real fun of the day does indeed begin just now~ Heheheh. Just great." He leaned against the wall and waited.

It didn't take long for the monsters to actually arrive. They came sooner than he had actually expected them, but so what. He chipped off the wall and brightly grinned at their faces. "Hi~ Have you been looking for me~?" The three monsters growled and instantly went for an attack. Satan surrounded himself with an aura that seemed to be made of pure fire. "Eruption of the Sun." He made a movement with his arm and sent out a powerful solar cosmic radiation wave- an energy blast made of pure plasma- and it hit the three Ninqairas. None of them survived. "Well, that was easier than I thought it would be. Well, I guess I'm done then." He walked out of the road. There, he encountered Sakimara. "Well, Satan. Had fun?" She asked. He nodded. "Incredibly much, yepp~ You can stop your blockade now, the monsters are dead and those people can't see them anyway. No further problem.", "Alright. I'm gonna turn them to ash." Sakimara nodded and went into the road, reducing those beasts to ash using her Magma Magic. Afterwards, she went seeing Ravana at the other side of the road, telling her they were done. Ravana nodded and they went away.
