After the P.E. lesson, Keiko was picked up by his parents and brought to a doctor. Lucy felt seriously uncomfortable in his sports clothing, that‘s why he got rid of it as quickly as possible. Satan needed a little longer, that‘s why Lucy came to meeting Yuki first. Hiko wasn‘t there, what surprised him. „Yuki? Where‘s Hiko?“, „Oh, she‘s attending the Arts Club after school.“ she answered. „Eh… Lucifer? You look… kinda worried.“, „I AM worried.“, „Why?“, „Because Satan‘s close to dying,“, „Why? What happened?!“, „...We played volleyball in P.E. and Satan‘s ball flew right into Keiko‘s face. Since then, Satan is literally dying. Of laughter. And I‘m kinda worried because I don‘t know how a single person can laugh non-stop for fucking half-an-hour.“, „Oh.“ Yuki chuckled. „And I thought it was something serious. Oh dear… I hope he won‘t asphyxiate.“, „Same, really.“
Satan came later and he whiped over his eyes. „Ouch… my stomach aches and I‘ve shed tears from laughter.“, „You‘re not dead yet?“ Lucy asked. „No, unluckily for you, I can keep annoying you.“, „How pleasant.“ Lucy looked at Yuki. „You wanna come with us to the Ivory Gardens cafe?“, „Sure, why not?“ Yuki nodded. „Maybe, someone else of Rauco is there.“, „Could possibly be, yeah.“ Lucy turned around and left. „We can go by bus.“, „That‘s great.“ Satan took out his mobile and plugged his headphones into it. He put one side into his ear and started to play off his music. Yuki couldn‘t put her headphones on because she had on-ears. Lucy strolled to the bus stop near the school. „Er… Kaito?“, „What?“ Lucy looked at Yuki. „...The… probability is high that we may encounter Marina at the bus stop. She‘s going to visit her grandma today.“ Lucy stopped walking. „Really?“, „Yeah...“ Lucy pressed his lips onto each other and then shrugged with his shoulders. „Then, I‘ll do what I am best at. Ignore her.“ Yuki looked at Satan. „Uhm...“, „What‘s the deal?“ Satan looked at her with surprise in his face. „Well, Marina is aware that Hiko and I know you guys. When she sees me with you, she may try to get into a conversation with me… or us… and ask me about Lucy. I don‘t know whether I want that...“, „Hm...“ Satan tilted his head. „Okay, that‘s a problem.“, „I really don‘t wanna make Lucy mad, you know.“, „Then, leave it to me.“ Satan said. They reached the bus stop. Marina was sitting on a seat, her school bag on her lap, looking down like a shy girl. ‚Please, don‘t notice us, please don‘t notice us...‘ Yuki urgently begged. Right at that moment, she looked up. ‚Shit.‘ When Marina saw Lucy, she blushed. Lucy didn’t pay any attention to her and looked at the sign to check on the next bus. Then, he looked at his own mobile before he looked at his brother and Yuki. “Three minutes. If the bus isn’t delayed.”, “What it mostly is, according to Hiko.” Yuki said. Marina stared at them before she slowly stood up and came over to them. “H-Hey, Hana-san...” she stuttered. Yuki turned around to her. “….Hey. What’s up?”, “N-nothing, I just… wanted to ask whether we have got homework.”, ‘I do not believe her that.’ Yukira said in Yuki’s head. ‘Neither do I. She’s just looking for a way to start a conversation.’, “Yeah, we have got German homework. You remember? Practicing the subjunctive. Book page 123.”, “Ah, yeah… I… I remember.” Marina squinted at Lucy. He pretended to be busy with looking something up on his mobile. “Eh… who is he? You haven’t told me his name yet...”, “That’s Kaito.” Satan suddenly said. “My brother. I am Raiden. So you’re from Yuki’s class?” Marina looked at Satan and nodded. “Y-yeah… I’m in Class 10-A.”, “I see. Then, you’re still in Middle School. Do you enjoy it?”, “Huh? Y-yeah...”, “Well, I guess that’s okay. Having joy at school makes you getting better marks.”, “Euh… you think so?”, “Sure.” The bus came. “Excuse me, we have to go.” Satan smiled and then went to the bus, bought a short- range ticket and sat down on a seat at the back of the bus. Lucy and Yuki followed him. Marina was forced to sit down in the front area because the rest of the bus was already crowded. “Thanks for the save, Raiden.” Lucy sighed. “You kept her away from me by engaging her into a conversation.”, “No big deal at all, bro.” Satan patted on Lucy’s shoulder. Lucy looked on his hand and then leaned back with folded arms. “We need to get off the bus at Rosewood Street. Then, we have to walk for three minutes.” he informed the others. Yuki looked at Satan. “What’cha listening to?”, “Hm?” Satan returned her look. “Oh. Eh… I’m listening to My Demons by Starset.”, “Nightcore?”, “Nighcore.”, “Awesome!”, “You know it?”, “Are you kidding me?” Yuki laughed. “I LOVE Starset Nightcore! Starset may not be my favorite band, but I like them a lot!” Satan chuckled. “Oh, really? What are you listening to except of them?”, “I have lots of Skillet and Evanescence-Songs on my mobile. And Anime-Openings and… Well, some Imagine Dragons Songs here and there. And Three Days Grace too. Oh, and I forgot Digital Daggers Nightcore!” Satan tilted his head. “Well… a lot of Rock stuff, I guess?”, “Yeah, and Metal.”, “Cool.” Satan smiled.
When they arrived at Rosewood Street’s bus stop, the three got off the bus. “Follow me.” Lucy said and started walking. Satan and Yuki followed him.
Ivory Gardens was a café with round tables on the terrace and wooden archways with rampantly growing ivy. Gravel was laying around the terrace and beautiful hedges with all kinds of flowers grew around them. “This is a little piece of nature in a crowded city.” Yuki said. “Hiko and I go here too very often, but mostly, we walk here from the other side.”, “Heh...” Satan smiled. “Yeah, and the milkshakes here are just too tasty to keep away!”, “That’s true.” They sat down at an empty table. The waitress came very soon. “One Strawberry Milkshake for me, please.” Yuki ordered. “I’d like to have a Cherry Milkshake.” Satan said. “A simple hot chocolate for me, please.” Lucy said. “With pleasure.” The waitress noted their orders before she turned around and went inside of the cozy- looking building.
When she came back after a while, she put the different glasses with drinks onto the table. “Enjoy.” She smiled politely. “Thank you.” Lucy nodded. The waitress turned around to serve the other guests. Yuki sipped at her glass. “Delicious as always!”, “You’re a strawberry-freak, hm?” Satan rested his elbow on the table and his chin on his hand and smiled towards her. “Yep! I am! I love strawberries.” Satan chuckled. Lucy stared on his drink and seemed to be lost in thoughts. “Are you alright, Kaito?” Satan asked. “Yeah… don’t mind. I’m just… thinking.”, “About what?”, “Nothing important. Don’t mind.” he signaled his refusal. “I hope you didn’t break Keiko’s nose.”, “He would’ve deserved it.” Satan shrugged with his shoulders. “So… I don’t really care.”, “Typical.” Lucy sighed.
