Chapter 11

Suddenly, Yuki‘s face darkened. „Huh…“, „What‘s the matter?“ Satan asked surprised. „Hm? Oh, nothing… I just remembered that I need to buy a new hoodie because Hiko accidentally burned my old one. Even though I‘m not sure about it being an accident...“ She sighed and placed her head on the table. „And I swore not to ever enter a clothing store if it‘s not seriously necessary… My poor dignity...“, „Dignity?“ Lucy pulled up his eyebrows. „Yeah… I hate those eccentric girls that always wanna go shopping and stuff… ugh… But I need a new hoodie, regardless of whatever happens… I just hope I’ll find one similar to my old one…”, “Heh… if you are doing that, I could maybe tag along?” Satan suddenly suggested. Yuki raised her head again. “What…?” Lucy also looked at Satan. “No way. What do you want in a clothing store?”, “Well… try to find a suitable cap maybe?” He blinked at Lucy with his right eye and grinned brightly. “You’re not serious.” Lucy stared at him with unbelief. “I actually am.” Satan laugh. “Heh, you should take a look at your face, man! You look at me like I am the eighth wonder of the world or something.”, “I just… cannot believe you actually… Nevermind.” Lucy looked away and emptied his glass. “Well… If you wanna accompany me, I don’t have a problem...” Yuki mumbled. “Okay, that’s settled then. But I first need to get rid of this school uniform. So… what about meeting up at your house in two hours and then go together?”, “That’s fine to me.”, “Splendid.”, “I know that you never listen to me… maybe it’s because I’m your older brother, but I’m not all too sure…”, Lucy started, “...but I’d recommend you to not get dressed in your casual clothing. It’s kind of… well… strange, y’know. Try to wear something more inconspicuous for once.” Satan sighed. “Yes, Mom. I understood.” Yuki giggled. “What’s so funny?” Both asked at the same time. “Hihihi… well…. it’s just very funny to see you two like that. One can really see that you guys are brothers...”, “I don’t know what you are talking about.” Satan folded his arms. Lucy just shook his head. “Whatever. Have you guys finished?”, “Yeah.” Satan nodded. “Me too.”, “I’ll pay for you.” Lucy decided and stood up. He went inside the building. Satan and Yuki stood up too. “Well… See ya later then?” Yuki asked. “Yep. See ya later.”

After a while, Satan rang at Yuki’s house. When she came out, she had exchanged her school uniform with a simple blue jeans and a white shirt. Satan wore a blue shirt and a gray jacket over it. His trousers were black. Also, he had removed his green contact lenses. “Well, I hope this outfit is suitable enough for Lucy?” Yuki asked. Satan laughed. “Pfft… Yeah… I showed him and asked him and he said it’s okay… ‘Just have to close all the buttons’. Well, I don’t wanna get choked in this thing, so I decided to overhear it.” Yuki laughed. “You little rebel, you should listen to what your older brother says.”, “I don’t give a fridge about what he says. I obeyed his order already, but at some point, it’s enough.” She folded his arms. Yuki snorted and giggled. “Well… If you say so.”, “Yeah, I do. Ready to go?”, “Aye sir!” Yuki nodded. They both went to Hillory Avenue, the great shopping street in the western part of Starfell Town. They strolled a bit along it before Yuki stopped in front of a store.. “Huh… I guess this was the shop I got my hoodie from… Let’s check it out.”, “I’m right behind cha.” Satan said. Yuki entered the store and Satan stopped in the door. “That’s kind of a huge one.” He said. Suddenly, the sliding door closed and squeezed him. “Ouch!” Yuki turned around. When she saw Satan being stuck in the door, she couldn’t help but laugh. “Not funny! Help me!!” Satan grumbled. “Hahahah! How did you do that? Hahahah!”, “I said ‘Help me’!!”, “Okay, okay.” Yuki came closer and the door opened again. Satan quickly went inside of the store. “What does that goddamn door think of what it is?! Ignoring my presence like that?!” Yuki started laughing again. “Hahahahahaha!!!”, “Not funny!!!” Satan yelled. “Okay, I’m sorry.”, “You’re not.”, “Not really.”, “I figured.”, “Sorry.”, “Quit apologizing when you don’t mean it!”, “Okay.” Snickering, she turned around and looked through the clothing. Satan went to where the caps were. He looked through them and suddenly discovered one he took an instant liking to. It was a brown one with the red writing ‘Highway to Hell’. “Heheheh… Hey, Yuki!” He took it and put it on. Yuki looked at him. “Yeah?”, “Don’t you think this suits me quite well?” Yuki chuckled. “Absolutely!” Satan grinned. “I think so too!” Suddenly, Satan’s smile disappeared as he spotted a person quite well known to him. It was Irina. “Fuck.” he said and closed his eyes. ‘Please don’t see me, please don’t see me, please don’t see me...’ Irina turned right at that moment and discovered him. “Heeey, Raiden!”, ‘Shit’. She came towards them. Satan put his fingers on his cap and tried to force himself to a grin. “Hi...”, “What are you doing here?”, “Uhm… buying stuff?”, “What happened to your eyes?”, “What? Oh… uhm… I… am wearing contact lenses...”, “In red?”, “Yeah…”, “You’re strange.”, “Thanks. I take that as a compliment. Have you found a hoodie, Yuki?”, “Huh… yeah… it has a different color, but it looks at least a little bit similar to my old one...”, “Good, then let’s pay and get the hell out of here.” He fled to the counter. Yuki followed him.
When they payed, Satan stormed out of the store. “Hey, don’t run like that, Raiden!” Yuki yelled and went after him, tripped over her own feet and nearly fell down when Satan wouldn’t had grabbed her shoulder and prevented her to do so. “Wow… slowly. Sorry, my survival instincts kicked in and I had to flee...”, “Huh?”, “Irina.”, “Oh.”, “Yeah. I hoped not to encounter her anywhere outside school and now, I met her inside of a clothing store… Most embarrassing. I mean… how would you react if the person you hate the most encounters you in a fucking CLOTHING STORE?”, “I’d run.”, “You see?”, “Feel you, dude.”, “Thanks.” He sighed. “But at least… I have a cool cap now!” He put it on again. “Do you know ACDC?” Yuki asked. “Huh? Why?”, “They have a song called like that.”, “Oh… no, never heard of’em… I guess when you’re living in another dimension, there are some little things you don’t get..”, “Well, that’s true...What are you going to do now?”, “I think I go home and present the cap to Lucy… and… well… get an expression of how stupid I seem to him?”, “Sounds amusing.”, “Absolutely.”
