Clarissa POV

Leaving a place was never an easy part but this time it was different. Different from all the places we went to, I never felt a connection so deep that I would get the feelings of never leaving that place but this time that was not the case. This time this place was stopping me, the people here were stopping me. I never imagined that I would grow fond of a place so much, definitely not after being thrown out of two places that I called 'Home'. For years after being killed and thrown away from that place and those people, I never came across a place or a person because of whom I could call a place my 'Home' and I gave up hope to find any place like that but then we came to Hawaii and I met such kind and good-hearted people, it became nearly impossible to leave them and go back to my empty life where I have no people and no place.

After meeting them I was so lost and captivated by that sweet dream that I never realized it was limited, that it was destined to end and that I was the agent behind it ending. I thought leaving Hawaii would make me homeless and that I would've to start a new life, the dream that I was chasing since the beginning of my journey- to start independently but when I was finally getting the opportunity to start my life anew, I suddenly became scared. I thought I lost many of my people in one day, in a blink of an eye but then at the beach when I had already bid farewell to my human friends and as I turned around to say goodbye to Mr. Sylvester, my words chocked up in my throat.

I stared at him with complexity, sadness and confusion whilst he looked at the ocean, standing at a distance from everyone. My palms began to sweat and I again and again rubbed it on the jeans and practiced the words in my head that I was going to say to him.

Never did a step felt so heavy and so slow, it was like everything was happening so quickly that I didn't had the time to think things through. I knew a day would come where I would have to leave him and hell, was I yearning for that day but now when it's finally here, it... doesn't feel right.

When I finally reached him, I anxiously started talking without giving any space to think or to react. "I...we...you..." I bit my lips anxiously but he looked straight ahead without minding my words or my presence.

"I am very grateful to you for this fabulous journey. Good bye" I said in one breathe and looked at him but he still stared at the ocean which I don't want to admit but made me a little sad. I thought we could at least say goodbye. Given our remarkable hate for each other we cannot wait to get rid of the other person but I wanted to exchange at least a little good bye. But he is Mr. Sylvester of course, a heart filled with emotional imbalance between cold and rock and his mind full of vicious plans of murder and torture.

I sighed dejectedly and turned around to walk away when a hand on my arm stopped me. Surprised, I looked at him still staring at the oceans.

"If you're done with your melodrama then we have to go back" he said in his own emotional words which are actually emotionless.

My stomach flipped in confused delight as I asked him hesitantly "Go back, where?" only I know how much I waited for his response even though it was just a few seconds away.
