I promise these stories get better as you read I started this book years ago!

Jughead was settled on the old couch in his trailer, his hands in his hair.

His mind was spiraling with thoughts and he couldn't seem to stop the flow. He felt alone, he felt down, he felt like he had fallen to the lowest part of the world.

Nothing was working and nothing seemed right.

Tears were rolling down his cheeks as he slammed his fist into a wall, blood spilling from it.

His eyes were closed. "Dammit." He muttered when he felt the red liquid drip down his hand.

He was done. Done with everything. Done with everyone mocking him. Done with being the loner.

There was only one thing that kept Jughead going. One thing, or better to say one person, that kept him alive.

Betty. The beautiful Betty with the golden hair and the pierce green eyes. Her touch, her voice, her as a person made Jughead want to fight for his life.

Sometimes, when she wasn't around and Jughead had had a rough day, it was all too much.

Today was one of those days. Reggie and his crew had bullied him again, his father had gotten wasted again, his mother was still not anywhere around, and Betty? Betty was out of town for a convention.

He couldn't blame her, no of course not, but boy would it have helped to have her touch around him today. His life just seemed to sink deeper by the minute.

The feeling had been haunting him a few days already and he wasn't sure how to get rid of it.

When the next morning came, Jughead made sure not to cry nor to say anything about how he felt. Mostly because Betty was back and he didn't want to be weak in front of her.

He sauntered to school, his backpack loosely hanging over his shoulder. "Jug!" A happy voice exclaimed from behind. He smiles gently when he saw his girlfriend hop over to him.

She smiled while running up to him and locking their lips in a quick kiss.

"I missed you." She said with a smile, taking his hand while continuing their walk.

"I missed you too." Jughead replied, squeezing the blonde's hand softly.

He wanted to bottle up all his feelings, just to look strong for her.

Once they got to school, Betty left him for her class after giving him one last peck.  A small butterfly appeared beside all those dead ones.

He felt so tired and dead, even Betty's smile and lips didn't help. He just wanted to go home, cry his eyes out and then close them to never open again.

But the day had started, and he had no other choice then to head to his first class.

Break rolled around the corner, as most of the students met up in the student lounge. Jughead was settled on the couch, Betty leaning against his chest. At the other side of the lounge Reggie and his jocks were laughing about some way too sexual joke.

"You okay?" Betty asked suddenly, looking up at her raven haired boyfriend. "You seem off today."

"I'm fine." Jughead lied, clearly not telling her that he could break out in tears any second. For him the world had turned so grey, so dark, all the positive sides of life had disappeared.
