mentions of suicide, self harm and depression!

Betty sat on her bathroom floor, blood spilling free from the deep cuts in her wrists. Tears were running down her eyes as she stared blankly at the red liquid.

She couldn't stop, she simply couldn't. It was like a drug. The cutting gave her calmth and relief.

Slowly she threw the drained razor aside and she started cleaning up her mess. With towels and toilet paper she removed all the blood, before she wrapped her arm up in a tight bandage.

Quickly she pulled her sleeve back down over her arm, covering every root that was hidden inside of her. With a deep breath and pounds of make-up she stepped out of the bathroom, ready to face the day.

The day was over, and there she was again, on the bathroom floor. Her head was hidden in her hands as she cried.

She was done, done with living, done with breathing. She needed to end this, end everything, end herself. It was the only way.

She scrambled her barely balanced body up and crawled to a drawer, opening it. Inside she found a bottle of pills, ready to be popped open.

Betty took the bottle and grabbed a glass of water from the sink, clutching both of the objects in her hands. Carefully she crouched back down to her position, letting the tears ruin every bit of her make-up.

"I'm sorry." She whispered before throwing most of the pills down her throat. She quickly followed it by the glass of water, swallowing every pill.

Her head felt heavy, her hands started shaking, her body was trembling. In no time she was sweating and breathing violently.

Her hands reached for her phone, needing one last goodbye.

"J-jug?" She sounded clammy and weak.

"Betty? What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I-I just wanted to let you know t-that I l-love you. Forever."

"Betty!? What are-" Betty broke the line before he could finish.

She couldn't hear him say it back, she just couldn't.

Betty felt as her mind drowned away from reality, the pounding in her head lessening, her eyes closing. And then it turned black.

It was seconds later when the banging of an extremely worried Jughead sounded on the bathroom door. Betty didn't respond, her body was collapsed onto the ground.

"Betty! Open up! Please..!" He begged, his voice desperate and loud.

"Come on Betts!" His voice became more anxious as there came no response. "Open the fúcking door!" He shouted.

Without hesitation Jughead took a step back and slammed himself through the bathroom door. He fell through it, tumbling onto the ground. He tried to catch himself with his right hand.

He didn't care, Betty was hurt. His Betty.

"Betty.." Jughead gasped, looking up at her fragile body.

She was spread over the tiles of the floor, her eyes tightly shut, tears stained on her bare cheeks. Her eyes were rimmed from crying.

"Betty!" Jughead shouted, desperately trying to wake her up. His hands shook her body violently. "Wake up! Come on!" He begged, his hand moving to feel her pulse.

It was unsteady, but it was there.

With tears running down his face Jughead reached for his phone and dialed 911.

His hands were shaking, his mind was spiraling, his arms were flung around Betty's barely living body.

It was minutes of desperation before the ambulance busted through the doors.

Jughead watched as his beautiful girlfriend laid on the white bed, connected to a million of tubes.

Her eyes were closed, her chest moving up and down on a steady rhythm. Jughead held her hand in a tight grip, certain to not let go before she woke up. Archie and Veronica were sitting in the waiting room, all nervous for what would happen to Betty.

The doctors said there was a big possibility of her survival, but death wasn't excluded.

"I need you to wake up beautiful." Jughead whispered, his fingers tracing the scars that were littered over her wrist and arms.

He had seen them when he found her, and it was terrifying to see her like that. "I need you by my side. Awake and happy."

"I love you." His voice was a mixture of sadness and desperation.

He heard the door open behind him, but his eyes were stuck on Betty. He watched as she slept, peacefully.

"Maybe you should go home. Take a shower, get something to eat, try to get some rest." Jughead heard Archie say as he entered, Veronica pressed against his side.

Jughead just shook his head negatively, his eyes fixated on the beautiful blonde. "I'm not leaving her." He said, determined.

Archie took a deep breath before moving slightly towards Jughead and touching his shoulder in sympathy. Jughead flinched away.

"We'll keep you updated Jug, just please go and rest for a while. You've been here for the past 10 hours. I know it's hard, but you need to take care of yourself."

10 hours. Had it really been that long?

Jughead just shrugged it off, his hand squeezing Betty's. "You can say whatever the fúck you want but I am going to be here when she wakes up, okay?" Jughead then stated, his head lowering to press a kiss onto Betty's forehead.

"I need to be here for her." As he spoke the words, Betty's eyes suddenly fell open.

She was gasping for air, her hands pressed to her heart. Jughead jumped up, startled.

"Betty!" He exclaimed, his eyes bright and happy. Only then he noticed the unusual take in of air and the seemingly panicking situation she was in.

Quickly he placed his hands over hers, forcing her to lock eyes with him. "Hey, hey, it's okay. You're okay. I'm here." He whispered, his lips touching her forehead in a soft movement.

Slowly Betty relaxed and melted into his touch. "Archie, get the doctor." Jughead demanded and Archie hurried out of the room.

Veronica stared at Betty, tears evident in her eyes. "B.." She gasped, her voice happy.

Veronica went to sit at the other side of Betty's bed. "What..?" Betty croaked, unable to produce more words.

"You tried to kill yourself." Jughead explained, tears tickling the back of his eyes. Betty stared at him, her eyes misty before she mumbled, "I'm sorry."

"I'll leave you two." Veronica said and kindly left the room. Jughead laced his fingers through Betty's, their eyes locked.

"You have me. Until every last star in the galaxy dies. You have me." Betty nodded softly, tears spilling over her face.

Quickly Jughead embraced her, his arms shielding her from all the darkness around them

She had him, and he had her.
