Betty Cooper was sitting on a bus stop, waiting for the bus to arrive. She was was fidgeting her fingers on her lap out of boredom.

Her eyes were focused on the small snowflakes that fell from the sky, whirling towards the ground.

"Hey." A raven haired boy said, settling down on the bench beside Betty.

"Hey." Betty replied, gazing over the boy before fixating her eyes back on the snow. It looked beautiful, like a fairy tail.

It was late at night and the evening dusk made it all even more beautiful, especially with the lights of the city in sight from far away.

In some way Betty's eyes wandered back to the boy next to her. He had soft, dark curls on his head, which were slightly covered by a grey beanie.

He was wearing a denim jacket with black jeans underneath. He looked hot.

His eyes were emerald green, a color Betty could get lost in. His face was round, but with a strong jawline.

At that moment Betty saw the boy look back at her and she quickly averted her gaze back onto the snow. It was calming to watch it fall.

Suddenly the boy stood up and started slightly pacing back and forth in front of the blonde. She looked at him confused.

He paced for a while and she had already let her focus on him go.

In one reckless movement the boy turned to her and opened his mouth to speak. "Excuse me, I just needed to let you know you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." He blurted out before nervously scratching his neck.

Betty felt herself flush bright red at his words. "T-thank y-you." She stammered out, a bit taken aback by him.

"Why did you say that?" The blonde questioned when he settled down next to her again.

"Not long ago I decided not to deny myself of life's simple pleasures. I need to enjoy every moment." He explained, leaving Betty completely stunned by his wise words.

For the next ten minutes neither of the two spoke a word. Silently they stared at the falling snow, and the twinkling lights far away.

Again, the boy stood up, now offering his hand to Betty. With slight hesitation she took it and stood up next to him.

"I'm Jughead Jones." He said, his face clearly nervous. "And I was wondering if you have this night free to spend with me?" His words were swooning and gentle.

Betty smiled and blushed softly while thinking about what to say. "I'd love to." She finally answered, still holding onto his hand.

"Yes!" Jughead muttered under his breath, unable for Betty to hear.

"I'm Betty Cooper by the way." She then introduced herself, showing him one of her nervous, loving smiles.

"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." Once again Betty blushed at his comment. Carefully Jughead laced his fingers with Betty's and pulled her away from the bus stop.

"I know a place where we should go." He told her, taking her deep into the night. "Do you trust me?" In an instant Betty knew she did, and she nodded at his question.

For some reason Betty wasn't scared that he was someone who could kidnap her or could have bad intentions with her, she felt absolutely comfortable around him.

"Are you here often? In Riverdale?" Jughead asked the blonde when they had walked a while through the dark streets.

Betty shook her head. "No, I came here today to visit my cousin. She lives here." She explained.
