The tears burned in her eyes, the pain stung in her heart. Her hands rubbed her stomach, looking down to it. "Guess your daddy wasn't as dedicated as I thought." She cried, her voice breaking down by every word she spoke.

She held the phone, staring at the picture for hours on end.

There were a few loud knocks on her apartment door, her head slowly looking up to it. "Come in." She tried to muffle her sobs, but failed.

Cole entered their apartment, finding his dear girlfriend, tears streaking her face.

"I'm so so sorry." He rushed the words out of his mouth, running towards her. She didn't move, her hands still fixated on her tummy.

"Do you love me?"

"Of course I love you Lils, I love you so damn much."

"Then why kiss her?"

"I was—" She cut him off.

"—drunk, I know the story." She finished, gently leaning into her boyfriends touch. His hand was caressing her cheek.

"What can I do for your forgiveness?" He asked, his voice desperate.

"I forgive you." She mumbled, her eyes looking into his. They were filled with disbelief.

"You do?"

"This baby deserves a daddy, and I need someone by my side. Even though you betrayed every part of my trust, I still love you." Tears pricked Cole's eyes by her words. "I still need you."

She was able to forgive him even though he messed everything up. She was able to forgive him when he kissed someone else, when he cheated on her with another girl.

For the rest of the week, the two had been awfully quiet to each other. Every night Cole would hear the blonde crying before she fell asleep, crying because of him.

One particular evening Cole was sitting in the living room, watching some Netflix. Lili said she went to shower and then to bed before sauntering sadly out of the room.

She hadn't spoken much that day, she just shot him a weak smile every now and then.

Cole yawned, stood up from the couch and walked closer to their bedroom, only to hear muffled sobs come from inside. He felt his heart shatter into pieces, knowing this was his doing.

He stood in front of the door for a while, suddenly hearing her voice speak up. "If I wasn't enough for him, maybe I'm not enough for you as well." She whispered, oblivious Cole was listening along. Cole knew all too well to whom she was talking.

The little baby girl inside of her stomach.

"I'm sorry for not being good enough." She then cried to her tummy, tears streaming down her face like a waterfall.

Cole now had tears streaking his face as well, quickly entering the room. He found Lili on the bed, her eyes on her stomach, her face puffy and red. "I don't deserve your forgiveness." He mumbled to her, standing in the doorway.

Her head shot up in an instant. "How long have you been standing there?" She asked, her voice breaking.

"Long enough." He answered, slowly walking closer to her. "Please, please don't blame yourself for my stupid actions. You were enough baby, you were more than enough."

"Then why'd you do it!?" She yelled, finally raising her voice.

"I don't know, okay? I feel so so stupid and I want to kill myself for hurting you like this. I can hear you crying every night and I feel a piece of my heart break every time I hear that sound." A violent sob came from her lips.

"I'm never ever in my life drinking again, never again." He promised, carefully lifting the delicate blonde on his lap.

"I can't help but feel like it's my fault, like I did something to make you feel the need to kiss someone else." Cole felt more tears rolling down his cheeks.

"No, love, please don't say that, because it's not true. None of this is your fault, okay? None of it. This is all on me, even though I hate to admit it." He placed a kiss on her blonde hair, "I'm an asshole, and I don't expect you to forget all of this today or tomorrow."

She leaned into his toned body, grasping his shirt with her fingertips. "I can't trust you just yet, but stay with me and I will, okay?"

"Okay." He breathed a breath of relief, "Just please, please never say you're not good enough."

"I won't." She said, letting her tears fall in his shirt.

It took Lili exactly five months to trust and completely adore Cole again. Because when she held their tiny baby girl in her arms, with his pierce green eyes and the few strands of his blonde hair, she was over the moon with love.

Love for her, and love for him.

But boyfriends, please don't ever cheat on your girlfriends, because finding her in her bedroom with a tear-streaked face, is the worst feeling ever.

And it will never be completely healed.
