"I'm nervous." She muttered in her boyfriend's neck as they stood in front of his house.

"They'll love you." He assured her, laughing slightly and pressing a delicate kiss to her hair.

"What if they don't?"

"Then you'll die." He answered with a chuckle, dragging Betty out of his arms and pecking her lips. He had a wide grin on his lips. "Just calm down sweetheart, my dad already loves you so it's just my mom and sister."

"I know I shouldn't be so worried, I just know they influence a lot of things about—" Jughead broke her sentence.

"Even if they hate you, Betts, it won't make me love you less. They don't have a say in who I can or can't date, I promise you that, okay?." She sucked in a deep breath.

"Okay." She breathed, and with a trembling hand opened the door.

She was welcomed with a sweet atmosphere inside, the fireplace was lit, the Joneses were sitting on the couch together, laughing about something.

The couple took slow, dreading steps towards them until Gladys noticed them, standing up in excitement. "You must be Betty!" She exclaimed happily, taking the girl in a surprising hug.

Betty smiled and took the embrace. "Yeah.. that's me." She answered sweetly, looking around the room once they pulled back.

Fp was sitting on the far right of the couch, Jughead's sister next to him.

"Sit down darling, do you want anything to drink?" Gladys asked, walking to the kitchen.

"A glass of water please." Betty have Fp a quick hug before she settled on the couch next to Jellybean, Jughead on her other side.

"This is my sister, Jellybean." Jughead introduced Betty to the young-woman, smiling gently. Betty offered her hand, but Jellybean just scoffed and took a sip of her drink.

Fp started discussing a quick problem with Jughead while Betty felt the uncomfortable stare of Jughead's sister in her side. She seemed angry, upset almost.

Fortunately Gladys came back at that moment and sat in a chair opposite of them, handing Betty her water. "Jughead told us a lot about you." Gladys said, a grin on her face.

"Oh.. he has?" She said with a smirk, glancing Jughead's way. His cheeks turned a light colour of red, wrapping an arm around Betty and pulling her closer to him.

The angry stare from Jellybean now turned almost deathly. Had she done something wrong?

"Yeah, ever since he was six he hadn't shut up about you." Gladys laughed, looking at her son and his girlfriend.

Betty giggled and bit her lip. "Since He was six, huh?" She grinned, turning to her boyfriend who was beet red now.

"Stop it." He murmured, pressing a quick peck to her lips. The tiny display of affection caused Betty to turn red as well.

The moment was instantly ruined by the annoyed grunt from Jellybean. It was soft, but loud enough for Betty to hear and it made her feel uncomfortable.

She felt like she had done something to upset the girl.

Jughead didn't seem to notice his sister's annoyance and happily started a conversation with his mother about Betty's family and work. Betty tried to mingle herself in the conversation and take her mind of the brunette sister.

"Does someone want anything to drink?" Jughead suddenly offered, standing up and taking the empty glasses. With the orders in his head he headed to the kitchen.
