SIY 19: 353 days before separation

Minu-minuto may nagpapapicture kay Ricci kaya minu-minuto din may hawak si Maymay na cellphone at nagmistulang photographer. Outing kasi ng PUMASKOM officers at committee members kaya kasama si Maymay. Hindi dapat sasama si Maymay pero pinilit sya ni Fen.  Inaya nya si Ricci,  at thankfully sumama ito. 

One month,  one month na ang lumipas.  Bakasyon na,  at natapos na ang second sem at ang second year.  Ang daming nangyari sa mga nakalipas nabuwan. 

"Alam mo,  pwede mo naman silang tanggihan eh.  Pagod ka na ngumiti oh." Sabi ni Maymay matapos kuhaan ng picture si Ricci kasama nung first year class representative. 

"Okay lang naman.  Sanay naman na ko.  Hahahaha!"

"Ay,  ang yabang!  Hahahaha!" Pero sa totoo lang,  nababaitan si Maymay dito.  Kung tutuusin,  he could've declined those requests because he's here to relax pero he just let it.  He could've also be with his family during these times pero sinamahan sya nito.  Kaya nakokonsensya sya. 

Shocked was an understatement for her during that day Ricci confessed.  Hindi nya lubos akalain, na ang isang Ricci Rivero, ay magkakagusto sa kanya na simpleng babae lamang.  She did not flat out rejected Ricci, pero hindi din nya naman pwedeng lokohin si Ricci sa isang bagay na alam naman nya sa sarili nya na hindi totoo.  She was frozen that time,  ang daming tao.  Nasa paligid nila yung teammates ni Ricci. 

But Ricci,  being the most understanding that he is,  told her that he would be willing to wait until she's ready no matter what,  no matter how uncertain it would be.  If she would just give him the chance. He's asking if she would give him a chance.

Hindi alam ni Maymay ang gagawin. She told him na let her think about it.  Isang buwan na ang lumipas, pero hindi nya pa rin alam ang gagawin nya.  Ayaw nyang masaktan si Ricci. Pero, ano bang pumipigil sa kanya?  After everything Ricci has done for her,  ipagdadamot nya pa rin ba kay Ricci ang hinihingi nito? Pero what if,  she couldn't? 

And it all boiled down to something. She is not sure if Ricci's love would be enough to overpower her love for Edward. But, she's also torn with the fact that, she should be starting to shake off her feelings for him. And maybe,  giving Ricci a chance would be the best way for her to forget everything.  But would that make Ricci a rebound?

Nagising sa ulirat si Maymay ng biglang nagsalita si Ricci.  "Do you want to go inside?"

Nasa labas kasi sila ngayon, nasa poolside nakaupo habang nakababad yung paa sa tubig.  "Bakit man?  Ang sarap nga dito eh."

Nakita nya na parang may tinatanaw si Ricci.  At tiningnan nya din ito. She saw Heaven arriving with Edward. 

There is still a stinging pain inside her everytime she would see them both together,  everytime flashbacks would come back. The fact that everything has changed between them still hurts her a big time. But today, she was worried. 

Edward does not look like himself.  The last time she saw him was a month ago, last day ng class nila. Back then, he looks just tired.  But today, he looks totally different.  Obvious na pumayat ito, parang may sakit at nangingitim ang ilalim ng mata na para bang ilang buwan ang lumipas na wala itong tulog.
