"Maymay!" He saw her standing away from him, staring at him with no expression on her face.
"Maymay, can't you hear me?!" Even with his loudest voice, she seems responseless. And she is slowly drifting away from him.
He tried to reach out but Maymay keeps on moving away from him. "Maymay!!!!!"
He struggles to lessen the distance. He tried to reach out but Maymay kept on drifting away. With so much frustration, he yelled at the top of his lungs. "Maymay, why are you doing this to me!?"
But when he looked around, he was surprised to see Maymay wasn't the one moving away; it was him.
He was awakened with two distinct loud voices. "At sa tingin mo ikaw meron ha, Maymay!? Sino ka ba sa buhay ni Edward?!"
He can already assume that voice belongs to Heaven and he is talking to Maymay.
He decided to answer on behalf of Maymay. "She's my Maymay."
His dream that was so vivid enlightened him. It may sound so absurd, but that dream made him speak up. That dream made him realize that he can't live a life without Maymay. Now that he is sure of what his feelings are, hindi na nya kayang pang layuan si Maymay.
Maymay, Heaven and Ricci turned to him who was all surprised. Maymay immediately went on the other side of the bed. "Edong! Kamusta na pakiramdam mo?"
He looked at Maymay. He missed that. He missed being called Edong. And now, to top that, Maymay called him Edong in front of other people. He smiled and nodded to assure Maymay he's okay. Months of being not in his finest self, all went back to normal in just a choice he had made today.
"What do you mean by that Edward?" Heaven asked.
"If you really love me, you would love the people whom I love." Edward said, while staring at Maymay. Napaiwas ng tingin si Maymay dahil hindi nya alam kung ano ba ang dapat nyang maging reaksyon sa nangyayari ngayon. "And I love Maymay..."
Maymay's world suddenly stopped. Her heart stopped beating for a moment. She suddenly became breathless. But, she knew there's something that still not right. If she wouldn't be feeling this, she could instantly say that finally her feelings are requited.
"I love her, because she's one of the closest person in my heart. So why would I need to keep my distance from her?"
Heaven stared at him, full of so much disbelief. "May, can you let the both of us talk?" Edward looked at Maymay. Ngayon nya lang napagtanto na kasama din pala nila si Ricci. He saw him escort Maymay palabas ng kwarto and finally, silang dalawa na lang ni Heaven ang naiwan sa loob.
"Now, what do you by that? You are choosing her now over me? Ganon ba, Edward?" Heaven can't believe everything.
"Yes."
Parang tinapakan ang pride ni Heaven sa narinig nya. Gusto na nyang umalis. Ayaw na nyang magstay pa. "Bakit? Mahal mo na ba sya that's why you are choosing her over me?"
Edward only stared at Heaven. He knew deep inside him the answer is not a no, but something's stopping him to say yes. "I don't know." Actually, he already know the answer to Heaven's question.
"Anong hindi mo alam?! Pwede ba yun!?" Heaven is already raising her voice.
"What I know is, hindi ko na kayang layuan pa si Maymay. Hindi ko kayang mawala sya sakin."
"At ako, kaya mong mawala sayo?!"
Edward did not answer her. He just stared at her. He wants to say yes pero ayaw nyang masyadong maging straightforward dito. Hindi nya alam kung bakit biglang wala na lang syang nararamdaman para dito. Pakiramdam nya ang lahat ng nangyari sa kanilang dalawa ni Heaven ay naging masyadong mabilis kaya mabilis ding nawala ang nararamdaman nya para dito. Maybe that's also the reason why he drowned himself with alcohol para parusahan ang sarili nya sa isang bagay na minadali nya. At dahil sa pagmamadali nya nasaktan nya si Heaven at lalong lalo na si Maymay. Ngayon, handa na syang harapin ang consequence ng magiging desisyon nya ngayon. He saw her wiped tears in her cheeks.
