The Crucible

Once at the tower, or what was left of it, I was given a room and a vault. I slept for what felt like a life time.
When I woke up I went to the restroom and finally examined myself. I was a human, long straight black hair and a scar running across the side of my left cheek from my lip.
I was a bigger build even for a Titan. I was given simple armor by the Vanguard and an assault rifle.
Meeting Lord Shaxx for the first time was, interesting to say the least.

"Titan, the Crucible needs you. Or perhaps you need the Crucible judging by your armor and weaponry." He laughed proudly and pulled me in "listen to my words young Titan, the Crucible is a great place to learn how to fight and meet other guardians." He laughed again and patted my back as he sent me off.

Next was Banshee-44, the gunsmith. "Do I know you? No... no I dont think I've met you Titan, you're new blood... here, she ain't much but she'll treat you well enough" Banshee spoke to me as he handed me a shotgun.

"Thank you..." I said slowly backing away from the shop and to the hangar

"Banshee isnt always there, and Shaxx... well he's Shaxx. If you're looking to get some more armor or guns, the Crucible or even looting lost sectors should give you a boost" my ghost told me as she hummed a tune hovering over my head

"I'm gonna call you Luci," I smiled looking up at her "this way to the hangar Luci?"

"I dont like that name, at all actually. And yes down the stairs and around the corner"

"I'm not gonna call you ghost"

"Give me another name then"

"Cable" I tapped her gently as I walked into the Hangar

"Well that's... kind of better...."

I walked over to Amanda Holliday a non-guardian but brilliant engineer. She gave me a basic ship and I was set to explore the stars.
Cable suggested that we go into the EDZ. We went into the Crucible instead.
I hovered over the arena and dropped into an open spot.

"Fresh meat!" A male hunter called out and patted me on my back "I got glimmer on this game, dont fuck up"

A female warlock pushed him aside and examined me, "how's your aim?"

"We'll find out" I replied as Shaxx began the countdown

"Come on rookie, keep moving, shoot, and stay out of my sights" A female hunter taunted lightly cocking her Sniper Rifle

"You bunch are just a lovely group arent you?" I sighed prepping my AR

"Wouldnt know, I run solo" she lifted her helmet and winked at me

She was a red headed awoken. Kinda cute but cocky.

"Guardians get those kills!" Shaxx shouted over the speaker

The warlock and male hunter took the right flank while the other hunter took the left, I ran down the middle and immediately took fire. I slid into cover.
The female hunter appeared behind the few firing at me and made quick work of them. She nodded at me and ran off before I could signal back to her.
I leapt over the metal cover and ran towards a corridor. I peeked around the corner to see a titan was running down it and straight towards me. I backed up and began to fire at him. The bullets didnt do anything as he rammed into me.
Dying was a new experience. I felt the fire consume me and then nothing. It was black pitch black, expect for faded images of what looked like me.  When my ghost brought me back I gasped for air and patted myself down "what the hell!"

"Come on guardian, you'll get used to it." Cable ordered me "Get. Up."

I stumble to my feet and ran into the fray again.
The warlock and male hunter were a duo. They fought without saying a word to each other. I watched in awe but was interrupted by the same titan running towards me.
I glared at him and prepared for the ram. He laughed as he charged into me. This time I caught his arm. I charged the light in my hand and punched him into the ground.
He turned into ash and I ran again. I aimed down the corridor and began to shoot at a hunter, he bobbed and weaved but I gunned him down. I turned around and rammed my shotgun into the titans face.
I heard thunder and glared into the corridor and saw a arcstrider dancing his way through send large waves of electricity.
I backed up and leapt upward as a laser few under me and into the Hunter.
I looked back to see the warlock and hunter Duo waving at me. I ran to them and slid into cover.

"They're pushing through that corridor,  cover me. I'm gonna meet them personally" I smile and leapt over the cover and charge straight toward the corridor

I hear them laugh and following me as I cranked my fist of havoc. I slam into the ground killing two people and sending one flying. I charge into the one that was knocked and ram him into a wall.
I felt the light fading so with one final effort I ran out to their side and slammed wiping them again and fleeing to my teams side.
I laughed as I caught up with the female hunter who patted my back "not bad rookie, you got promise" she nodded

I laughed and caught my breathe. "The names Sage, Thanks"

"Well Sage, looks like you have a knack for destruction. I need someone like that." She immediately aimed her rifle at two guardians rushing and made easy work of them.

I laughed lightly "and your name, if I can ask for it?" I pushed her aside and shot a charging titan with my shotgun

"Wouldn't you like to know" she gently tapped her helmet with mine and summoned her golden gun. Three shots and three kills

"Yeah I would actually..." she ran away, trying to find a new position

I did the same, drawing the enemies attention and leading them to her and the duo. We won that match by a landslide.

"Good job rookie" the male hunter smiled and he shook my hand "see you around" he laughed as both him and the warlock were transmatted to their ships.

"The names Ajisai," the huntress whispered as she walked around me and handed me a handcannon "this for you, Shaxx has got a better one of me" she taunt and transmatted away as well

"Sage has a girlfriend," Cable hummed and sung "that he'll never see again~" she transmatted us back to our ship.

I examined the handcannon and scoff. It was worn and battle torn. But scratched into the handle was her name and contact.

"Read it and weep." I smiled presented it to Cable

"You truly are a charmer." Cable laughed as we flew to the city to grab a bite
