I went to the bazaar a lot. It was calming there. It was where I found peace after death walking. Cable would sign off while I gazed over the city. On a cloudy day, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
A green eyed gaurdian opened my hand and place a jade coin in it "care to take a gambit?" He held a smirk and walked off to his dark corner of the bazaar.
I was invited to gambit. I never heard of The Drifter personally inviting someone to his match.
I places the coin between my chest and chest plate.
I flew out to the next match and transmatted to the cage.
I greeted my teammates: a red warlock that goes by Esher, a violet warlock that goes by Kaiser, lastly a brown hunter that goes by Fargo.
After introduces we sent rude gestures to the enemy team.
We were transmitted onto the emerald coast. I followed the other three as the Drifter called out the location of the fallen. The Frago ran straight into the front lines. Sliding between the vandals and dregs. He stabbed and shot into the crowd with ease. Kaiser soon followed him, throwing a grenade behind Fargo.

Esher loaded her sniper and pointed to the beach "they'll be coming in from there next, be the striker, I'll cover you"
She took cover behind a destroyed pillar as I leapt in.

I grabbed a dreg by its neck and snapped it, I used the body as a shield and shot at the vandals and other dregs.

Esher cleaned up any that I hadn't killed. All while Fargo deposited his motes and Kaiser followed behind me. He tapped my shoulder and took the lead. I deposited my motes and the portal open.

Esher slid her Crooked Fang towards me "They havent deposited yet, give em hell."

I grabbed the linear rifle, reloaded it, and leapt through the portal.
I heard the Drifter through the Comms, "this is what the Taken feel like, revel in this"

Three of them were handling the blockers. I took two out before the third leapt away.
I ran towards her
Right!
I glanced towards the right and managed to dodged the fourth members sniper.
I pushed out a barricade and glanced at him.
He laughed and took shots at me with the barrier up.
I glanced to where the third member was, he had fled back to a tunnel.
I glare at the sniper and gritted my teeth.
NOW!
The barricade had faded away and I ran to another piece of cover

"10 seconds!" Drifter called out

I groaned and fired from the hip as I leapt up to the second story. I grabbed the sniper and punched her.
I planted a grenade on her chest and teleported.

When I was teleported back, the Drifter called out my third kill.

Esher laughed and glanced at me "you play Gambit often?"

I handed her rifle back and let out proud laugh "first time actually."

She froze and laughed "you a crucible nut?"

"I'm just good shot" I nod and ran to the crowds of fallen.

"Thanks for the call outs Cable." I smile collecting leftover motes

"I didn't call anything." she hesitated

"Yeah you did, back when I invaded."

"No, the hell, I did not." she said firmly

"I heard a voice call out the others gaurdian locations." I hesitated and jumped up and deposited my motes

"You've go enough to summon a primeval!" The drifter interrupted

My team deposited their motes and ran back to the spawn point. I follow but an envoy had stopped me, it shot at me and the primeval flung me away. I slammed against the collapsed building and glared at the beast.

Kill the wizards first

I got back up and paused "repeat that Cable?"

"Sage, I didn't say anything!" She raised her voice with slight concern

"SAGE!" Kaiser called out as he used his shadow shot.

I shuck my head and got up. I ran towards the Envoy and casted my shield. I slammed into the Taken witch and took out her shield. My next two hits vanquished the screeching horror into the void. I threw the shield towards Taken goblins and the thralls. I put my shield up and the primeval shot endless rounds towards me.
I pushed through and gripped the beast, pinning it down.
Esher leaped into her air and pushed out her chaos reached electrocuting it.
Kaiser follows with his sunglinger and Fargo landed the final blow with a overcharged golden gun.

"Primeval is done!" the drifter called out

I collapsed onto the ground as we were transmatted back onto the ship. The drifter laughed coming down to our side of the cages.

He offered his hand and pulled me up "I knew you were somethin' special."

I fought through the next round silently. The enemy team became extremely aggressive this round, constantly sending block. Cable watched my back when an invader came. And I'd bank my motes after taking care of the blockers and invader.
The thing about invading is, as soon as the enemy teams see you, they'll hunt you down. At the end of the day it's still a 4 v 1.
I like those odds. It makes it fair. I banked my third set of motes and ran to the portal. I announce my entrance with the roar of my gun, I fired my shotgun into the air.
I charge at who was near and pin them to the wall, unloading my clip into their side. I reloaded my shotgun and eraser the other two that had come to help.
The last gaurdian hid towards the back in the safe zone. I casted my shield and blocked them. I them back as my team began to melt the Primeval.
With a grin and a leap, I join the the fight, unload my last shotgun magazine into the beast.

We won the match and got our loot.

The Drifter didn't say much but held a foxes smile as he flipped his coin.

Esher ran up to me and rammed into me "I've heard about you. you're that titan that Shaxx and Tess are always talking about!" She said cheerfully

"Shaxx talks about me?" I raised an eyebrow as I removed my helmet.

"He compares you to a bear. He doesnt do that often. He likes you." She giggled removing her helmet and glancing up at me

"Shaxx is.... Shaxx." I smiled lightly

"And Tess hates your color choices, "rusted and bleak" she says while rolling her eye" Esher seemed ecstatic to meet me.

"And how exactly did you know it was me?" I ask sitting on a large rock

"Well, your armor looks rusted and beat. That Torobatl helmet, and those exotic gauntlets! Hell you fight more aggresive than Shaxx could ever explain." She grabbed my helmet and examined it "when the Drifter said he had something special I didn't think it was going to be a rising celebrity." He smiled went to the edges of her face

"I didn't know I was a rising star." I say playfully and steal back my helmet.

"That's an understatement Sage" she smirked putting her helmet back on

I shake my head as I am transmatted away by Cable.
