The Fine Details

I went to Banshee for a special weapon. I needed a gun that I wouldnt lose and powerful enough to handle an ogre with a hand full of shells.
We threw ideas and came up with a designs through out the day.
When we came up with something that we both liked, we got to work. I went out and gathered materials while Banshee worked out how the gun would work.
A shotgun that didnt work like any other.
The fundamentals placed in as banshee crafted the weapon.
A week passed before I was able to wield the monstrous thing. A shotgun that's element changed depending on what it was loaded with. Unlike other shotguns, this one used a magazine. A drum magazine. A fluted barrel for range. Full auto frame for maximum destruction. A beauty if I had seen any.
I flew out to the dreaming city again. I ventured into the ascendant plain by myself, or so I thought. When I spawned into the forsaken landscape I was met with three champions.
With out a second thought I charged into the one towards my right. I shot out his legs with the new weapon and opened his head. To my surprise he came back almost immediately.
I dont enjoy the idea of running away but that was the only choice I had.
It was long run, to say the least, through that floating maze. And when I reached the final champion, I was out of breathe and ammo. I call on to the void and threw my shield at the monster as I slammed and punched it.
Its axe slammed into the shield and a rogue blade barrage ignored the beast. I the bashed it with all my might. Killing it.

Ajisai ran over to me and laughed lightly "did you throw up on the way up here?"

"You try to run away from knights by yourself!" I panted and collapsed onto the ground

"Nice gun, where'd you find it?" She asked genuinely intrigued

"Banshee and me made it" I spoke taking long breathed and looking up towards her "actually I was planning to show you after the test run"

"Did it work as well as you wanted?" She asked gently sitting down next to me

"Destructive and effective" I nodded as I slap the ground and launched myself up "I'm going to call it "Fury's despair." How did you find me?"

"Cable."

"Cable." I nodded with a small smirked

She helped me up and and gave me a few spare rounds. "Sage, you good to run a strike? A Techeun called me and needs us to handle a Taken... thing"

"Thing?"

"A thing that is playing a big role in the corruption of the city"

"Yeah. I got nothing better to do" I laughed lightly and grabbed my loot from the chest. A Tigerspite with outlaw and killclip. I equipped it and we set off to enter the castle.
She lead the way through the twisting paths.
The assault rifle felt smooth when firing.
We fought through the confound with ease until reached the Queens ascendant plain. There we fought a Taken Techeun

I hid behind a column as I reloaded my two weapons. Ajisai drew the witches attention from across the platform.
I groaned as I casted my banner shield and threw the shield towards the witch.

"bitch!" I orded her attention as I marched towards her

She let out a hysterical laugh as she sent seeker orbs my way.

With a grin, I help the shield up. Each orb exploding or burning by the banner shield. Her focus was on me, the whole time, Ajisai had snuck behind witch and ignited her golden gun. Three roaring shots that sent the Taken Techeun fleeing to the Taken Ascendant Plain. We chased after her. I took the lead, charging in and handling knights. Ajisai leapt over me, killing the Taken faster then they could manifest.
When we reached the final platform, the Techeun continued its bombardment.
I casted my shield and Ajisai followed behind me, igniting her golden gun again and freeing the Tekon.

We walked through the Tower the next day "how the hell does nearly killing the Techeun free her?!" I asked out of frustration.

"No idea, if I'm being honest" she laughed lightly and leaned onto my shoulder, wrapping her arm around mine.

I held her hand tightly as we made our way back to our rooms. We managed to move next to each other.

She brought over snacks and rested with me on the couch

"so love... I've been meaning to ask something" my heart never races. Not during a firefight or a crucible match. Yet I felt my heart speed up.

She placed her hand on my chest and began to swirl her finger "Yeah?"

"I mean, it's been almost a year now.. and well I think we should take the next step in our relationship." My palms were sweating. The air thinned.

She pushed herself up gently to get a better look at me "Babe. What do you mean?"

"Well...." I took a deep breath "it's better I showed you" I kissed her gently as I pushed her back onto the couch.
She slowly wrapped her arms around my neck as I moved my lips from hers and onto her neck.

She pushed me away with a smirk "I like this next step." I could feel a soft pant coming from her.

I'd love to continue but, I dont think Ajisai would appreciate me giving up those details.
