I spent the night with Ajisai, letting her soft voice pull me away from my uncertainty. But it wasnt enough so I went on a walk to clear my mind. That turn into a hike in the EDZ. I had wondered deep into Fallen territory. Through the mines and Mountians, I ventured into ruins of the great cities. Yes there were Fallen, but I killed the ones that got in my way. When my rounds ran dry I used my fist.
Through out the next week I had fought till my feet couldn't carry me anymore.
I passed out into the middle of a forest and woke up chained to boulders. The boulders were near the egde of a cliff.
A Fallen Baron laughed as it tore off my helmet and examined my face.

"You. Killer of my people," he growled in English "kill many. Why?"

"I just wanted some time to think..." I responded looking up to him and tried to move.

He crushed my helmet as he turned tapped my scar "Dishonored human?"

"Excuse me?"

He laughed and grabbed my neck, staying a good distance away "Like docking of Dreg. You once did wrong. That is payment for it"

"Possibly. I thought you already knew that us gaurdian dont remember our past." I laughed lightly and cracked my neck

"Yes but scar is..... uni-versal." he laughed and punched me straight in the jaw. "Many Fallen you have killed. Many Eliksi fall to you."

He took advantage of my restraints and kicked, punched and cut me

"Still live, you must hurt. I need to know why you are special." he laughed as he tore the rest of my armor off and beat me

"I see why the traveler didn't choose you." I laughed as he cut into my arm

He stayed quiet as he grabbed a spear and cut my chest, sending electricity through me.

For the next hour he turned me into a canvas. All I did was take it and focus on the pain. The skin being split. The bones cracking.
He told me how he earned his rank and what he would do to me. How he was a dreg that managed to fight his way to where he is. And that I was a thorn in his side.
Apperently, I had managed to take a large portion of his army before I ran out of ammo.

"Look like he wants you to suffer" Cabal spoke to me softly

"Yeah. I dont think I'll be able to kill him" I responded gently

"You've been in better shape"

"I just needed to lose myself."

"And did you?"

"No, not really"

"You're gonna let him kill you?"

"That's on you, how are we on light?

The Baron grew tiresome and held his knife in my mouth, to the cheek that wasnt cut. "Finish the brand, yes? Kill the undead, better." He laughed cutting the inside of my cheek and turning to grab his rifle.

"Enough to bring you back but I'm not sure after that." Cable sighed

He pointed the gun to my head and I smirked looking up at him

"Better run Baron, cause after you pull that trigger, I plan on ripping your arms off." I held a proud smirk as he pulled the trigger

The image was now a film.
I was in a bathroom, cleaning myself off. The room was dimly light and the water was running. I had a knife in my right hand and a rag in my left.
I was anger, no I was full of rage and yelling at the mirror. I punched the mirror and panted.
The film ended and came back to life

I used the rage and grabbed the chain tightly, swinging the boulder into the Baron, knocking him over. With the other boulder, I brought it over to him and crushed his lower left arm. I reached to his right upper arm and without using my light, tore off the fore arm.
I let out a monstrous roar and broke off the chains and fell to my knees, panting for air.

"Call down Sage, he's done..." Cable whispered

"But not dead..." I responded grabbing the spear and burning his wounds closed

He had passed out from shock but was still clearly breathing.
I stumbled down the mountain side and notices a small hut, probably the Barons. I wasnt prepared for what was inside
Three guardians were hanging from the wall. And three ghost shells crushed in the floor. Decade bodies that had been there for months most likely. One was a Titan that was a rising star in the Crucible.
The other two, they were the duo from my first Crucible match.
I felt my blood rose again but took them down. Cable signaled the Vanguard and I waited for help to come. I stared at the bodies for what felt like days, until I noticed something shining out of the corner of my eye.
I glanced over to a table and there weapons on top of it. A scout rifle, a pulse rifle, two hand cannons, one rocket launcher and grenade launcher. Lastly, a sword that stood out to me.
It was a Crown-splitter, shimmering and glowing. The Guardian probably never used it.
I held it up and sighed, placing it on my back and taking one of the handcannons as well. A Duke mk. 44
Ajisai was the first responder. Even she froze at the sight of it.
More guardians came in and the Baron managed to get away.
I got what I wanted, and saw something I couldn't unseen.
The death of guardians was becoming more and more common.
I've heard the dark ages were like this.
