I ran down to the Annex and pushed the drifter into a corner. I placed The Lone Vendetta against his temple. He held his hands up and held a weak smile.

"Long time brother, what brings you to my dark corner of the tower?" He spoke carefully and switched his focus between my eyes and the barrel of the gun

Finally

"Shin Malphur. I need to talk to him," I lowered the gun and placed it away "I want to destroy the damn thing."

What?!

"That's a tall order, and what makes you think I know anything about Shin?" He gritted his teeth slight and fixed himself.

You can't get rid of me!

"We're both smarter than that Drifter, he keeps a loose eye on you." I take a step back and rub my eyes "Listen, You're a good man. I can feel it. I have hope I can move past this damned gun" I leaned against some railing as he walked towards the mote bank and leaned against it.

You can't destroy me!

"Hope is deadly, so I'll help you. And I dont want another Dredgen causing trouble."

YOU WILL NOT KILL ME!

"Thanks I guess. I'll be in the EDZ, at the entrance to the forest under the shard." I glared at the hunter and took my leave.

You need me!

He glared back and rolled his eye "hey!" He called out sending an engrams my way. "If you do get over this, I know a team that in need of an invader." He nodded with a smirk

I examined the engrams with a small smile. "If I so how make it out alive, I owe you a drink"

"Make it dinner and a drink" His fox smile returned to him

I let out a soft chuckle and made my way to the EDZ. I landed in the sludge and loaded my weapons. I made my way to the entrance took a seat on a large Boulder above the enchanted water. The green flursted here, the remaining light from the shard leaked through out this whole area. Fallen, Cabal, and the Taken flock to here, trying to control or destroy the light.

I stared at a distant cabal carrier ship when a hunter stood a good distant from me. He was out of shotgun range and my rifle would take to long to pull out.

He had a Thorn by his side and no other weapon. He held up his hands taking a step forward.

"Who the hell are you?" I growled glaring at the hunter. Placing a firm hand on my rifle.

"They call me Dredgen Vale" he let out with a deep and raspy voice

Kill him

I aimed my rifle immediately on the hunter and place my finger on the trigger. "You have 5 seconds to explain or I'm gonna empy this mag into you and snuff out your light." I growl with my reticle on the man's head.

He throws his Thorn away and reached behind him. "You wanted to talk" he replied calmly as his true weapon appeared.

The Last Word

I slowly lowered my rifle and let out a sigh of relief "Shin Malphur"

"Don't say it too loudly, if my shadows found out we were one and the same, there would truly be trouble" He holstered his handcannon and slowly walked forward.

"You have been causing trouble. But I can't complain, you have been doing what I have been trying to" He walked confidentiality, take a few steps closer to me. ""The captain of the void" I like that, hell of a name you made for yourself."

"I aim to impress, but um. What the hell do you mean by "your shadows" and "one of the same?"" My grip was still firmly held on the rifle.

Dredgen Vale and Shin Malphur are the same person. Ironic.

I glare at the man and aim my rifle, He was close enough that I could place my barrel against his head.

"I made the Shadows to learn about Dredgen yor, to learn about the darkness. Not to follow in his steps but to reclaim his light" he spoke firmly brushing my gun away "turning what the darkness has corrupted into a weapon for humanity. "

Kill him

"Then what the hell happened with Esher? Fargo?" I bark at him pulling out the Lone Vendetta.

He placed The Last Word to my head in an instant. "Calm down, they were weak. Plenty are draw to the darkness, like yourself." he gestured to the cursed weapon, "but not all are strong enough to withstand its power, like Esher."

I held the cursed gun firmly and gave him a slow nod "And you were going to kill them?" I let out a low growl

KILL him

"Yeah, gun them down" he said it so blankly, as if he had done it before. "Actually, you've made finding them a whole lot easier" he chuckled lowly

KILL HIM

"Because all the of those who have fallen are currently looking for me" I chuckled and lowered my weapon

He gave me a slow nod and pointed to the Lone Vendetta. "And that's your weapon of sorrow?"

I glances down to see it pouring and reeking hive magic. It began to rot, and morph. There was a distant growl coming from the weapon, I ultimately dropped it.

I glanced up at Shin and nodded "The Lone Vendetta, it calls itself" my palm had burn marks "it's never done that before..."

"I've never seen a weapon attack it's owner" he glared at the weapon "why did you want to meet?"

I glared down at it as hive growths began to form and bubble "I want to destroy the damn thing. I'm slowly losing myself to it."

"First, I'm going to have to ask you to use that for me" he holstered the weapon and pointed to the morphed weapon. "You're my bait" he patted my shoulder

"No problem, I've been wanting to cause trouble" I glared as the weapon finally begn to settle. I gestured to the entrance of the forest under the shard, "that there is a dark zone, I was planning on having them chase me in there." I grab the weapon and holster it.

Kill him

"Hm, there will be a small army. Got enough ammo for that?" He asked walking to the entrance.

"I have more then enough to destroy a Skiff if I needed to" I replied with a small smirk and grabbed his shoulder.
"I'll be setting up choke points tonight and sending my coordinates tomorrow morning."

"Good, I'll get a lay of the land and meet you here at sunrise" he pulled away from me and ventured into the forest

I let out a long sigh and glance at my taken weapon.

It repeated the same word constantly. I holstered it and went into the forest, preparing traps and as setting up choke points.

When did I start living a Western?
