Thanks to Kaiser, I had the locations of almost every meeting point that the shadows used.
They met in the city, dressed as civilians and non-guardians.
I leaned over a balcony with a sniper and watched over the café.
I staked out the spot for a few days until I saw the drifter talking to someone. I cant read lips so what ever they were talking about was beyond me at the time. But it was obvious he was surrounded.
One of them had his grip on a civilian, and pointed around a corner I couldn't see. Some of them start to run as the Drifter tried to talk to them.
A warlock comes out of nowhere and shot up the place. She pushed the drifter aside and chased down the remnants after saving the hostage.

I leapt down after the chaos and pulled the Drifter aside. "What the fuck was that!" I reached under my chest plate and pointed the aged pistol against his jaw

"Easy, easy. I was just trying to get back that person." He held his hands up above his head

I back away still aiming the gun to his head. "So, you're a shadow?"

"Was, told you, The names Drifter now." He slowly lowered his hands

"Keep them up!" I fire a round into the concrete behind him. The bullet burned into the concrete

He glanced at it then back towards me "are you a shadow?"

I glance down at the pistol, it leaked of taken magic. I put it away and glared at the man "it wasn't supposed to be loaded.... it's from the golden age...."

"I'm already in a mess as it is. Leave me out of this one," He replied and patted my shoulder "but if you ever need a safe place to test that gun of yours. Come up to the derelict."

He faded into the city, as a loud explosion came from the opposite direction.

I glanced around the corner to see the Warlock standing in a crater.

I pulled back and grabbed the pistol again. It felt normal, and the clip was empty.

Cable hover over the fossil of the weapon and scanned it. "Its clean... as if it hadn't fired a single round."

"I need a warlock.." I stood up and put the pistol away "Is Claud available?"

"No, he is out with the awoken, trying to secure a trade system between the city and the dreaming city." Cable replied gently

"Call Esher..." I hesitated

"Already ahead of you boss"

"Thanks." We transmatted up and flew to Titan

She was waiting for us on the drop pad on Siren's Watch

"What's the matter Sage, it's not like you to call and visit" she asked gently

"Weapons of Sorrow... tell me all that you know" I placed the pistol on the table and pointed towards it. "It fired a bullet, but I never loaded the dammed thing!" I sigh and rub my eyes

She examined the gun and after a moment let out a sigh "Sage, theres nothing wrong with this gun."

"I just used the thing!" I groan and begin to pace.

"Are you sure you aren't just imagining it?" She asked gently

I glared at her and grab the pistol "it fired, why would I lie?!" I yelled and aimed out to the ocean. I squeezed the trigger, sending a round out into the water.

She took off her helmet and grabbed the weapon. She placed it in the table and had her ghost examine it. She gained caressing the weapon.

I reached for it when her ghost finish. She glared at me as I put it away. "Where did you get that?"

"It was with me when Cable brought me back for the first time" I reply rubbing my eyes
Don't put me down.
"I've seen a thorn before, but never anything like this" she smiled and patted my chest "don't let the Vanguard find out about this."

"Right..." I back away and take a walk along the bridge connecting the two platforms

I am your ally.

You are Hive magic.

And I will keep us alive

No, no you won't.

I held the pistol over the railing and slowly loosened my grip. I glanced at the weapon and saw my name. Then the Hive began to ooze off the weapon again. I tightened my grip and aimed it out into the ocean.

I pulled the trigger, sending the forsaken round into oblivion.

You know you liked killing that guardian. You enjoyed it.

I had to, he would have gotten me killed.

A gun cock behind me and a hunter with a Thorn pushed the barrel against my head.

"You're the fellow that killed Kiaser." He growled

Other shadows took my guns away.

One tried to detain me but could muster the strength to put my hands down.

The hunter grew tried and bashed the butt of the gun against my head.

I was livid when I woke up. They had ripped off my armor, chained me down and caged like an animal. To top it all off, they had three guns pointed at me.

I pulled at the chains and glanced up when I heard footsteps approaching me.

The hunter from earlier leaned against the cage and removed his helmet. I gritted my teeth to the familiar face.

"Why did you have to go and kill Kiaser? He was the first warlocks to join our racks." Fargo growled and spat onto my face

I tried to lunge at him but was immediately cut off.

He didn't even flinch.

He laughed and clapped "you know what, Esher was right, you are just a treat to watch."

"Excuse me?" I growled and looked towards the hallway where a female figure stood.

"I'm going to kill you all...." I gave a weak growl and glanced around. "Anyone else I know a Shadow?"

"Nope, just us Sage." Esher walked towards the cage and opened the door "You have had my interest for a long time" she grinned lifting her helmet and caressing my cheek "we are going to break you and turn you into our puppet. What you did to Kiaser was comparable to a artist." She backed away

She giggled lightly and leaned on Fargo. He nodded at the guards who each shot me in the back.

I let out a roar and panted as the thorns remnants slowly poisoned me. I glance at Esher and Fargo who were on their way out.

One came in and ripped the thorns out. Once back in position, they fired the rounds again.

The poison still burns to this day.
