1. This is the first contest I've ever won on wattpad so naturally I was very very happy. This contest has been a great learning experience and a stepping stone to one day competing in the Watty Awards.

2. When I first started on Wattpad I was so nervous to share my stories with others but as the days passed I grew more confident. Now I click the publish button for each chapter without an ounce of anxiety. My first vote and comment were amazing and I've loved all the feedback but my favorite part has been my friends and family joining wattpad just to read my stories. Also, meeting my friend Asmae. She's so much fun to talk to and I love her feedback on my stories.

3. I think that if you create a story you can't expect success to fall out of thin air. You have to read other stories, vote and comment so that others will check out your page and stories as well. You have to work to get noticed the same way you have to work to find a publisher. I do wish my story was more popular but the only way that's going to happen is if I broadcast it more so it gets attention. It'll all happen in due time. Success very rarely comes overnight.

4. I've always carried around a notebook to write story ideas and lines in. One day I started thinking about my character Hadassah and pretty soon she took on a life of her own. The story is already written in my head, it's all a matter of getting it on paper. (Or wattpad haha)

5. My biggest challenge as a writer is that I'm a perfectionist. I write down all of my chapters before I ever type them up and the rough drafts are full of scribbles. Even after I submit it a piece on wattpad I still go back to check for changes. My characters have their own lives and stories to tell and if I don't get it perfect then I'm not happy. I am my own worst critic. My biggest challenge with the story I submitted is finding the time to add to it. I want to update all of the time but being a perfectionist means I take forever!

6. My other hobbies are reading, singing and rock climbing. I also have a three year old pug that I love spending time with. She's my pride and joy! :-) Something my readers don't know about me? Hmm...Well first, I entered a contest for Voices Magazine and a week ago they told me I won and will be publishing a short story of mine. I've been thinking about putting it on Wattpad but I'm not sure yet ;-) Another thing would have to be my hearing loss. I have a moderate loss that requires me to wear hearing aids but I actually consider it a strength. I can speak fine but I'm fluent in Sign Language and I LOVE to sign any time I get the chance. :-)
