Bam! Bam!

Banging on the door wakes me. As caution I grab my 9mm and slowly approach the door. "Open up! Morgana it's the officer from yesterday!" I sign in relief, putting my gun on the nearest counter. The officer from yesterday walks in, while I close the door back. "What brings you here?"

He turns facing me, "It's required for you to come in for breakfast. After that you can come back. We would like to get a head count of everyone, before deciding on what to do next while we wait for military help." I nod. Walking to the room in the back, I grab my bag. Stuffing some food, water, ammo, a blanket and pillow, then grabbing my gun. I make sure it's on safety and place it in the holster I found.

"All ready to go." He leads me to the cafeteria of the school, which is amazingly huge. I'm starting to have second thoughts about this being a high school. My school cafeteria could barely fit the 300 students we had. This could fit them and way more. The officer notices my looking. "This school was made to hold students in grade six all the way to twelve. Makes sense with how big it is." We stop in front of a heavily guarded door. Two officers strapped from head to toe with weapons and bullet proof vests.

"Name?" The tallest one asks. His voice is very gruffed, face covered in blonde stubble, and arms covered in tattoos. "Morgana." The guy next to him writes my name down. He seems to be a little younger than his gruff partner, but looks just like him. Little brother? They open the door, letting me pass through. The officer traveling with me says his goodbyes. He has to get back to his post. I intake my surroundings. There are alot of people here. Mostly families. With all these different groups in one place, I start to feel like a sore thumb. I'm by myself. Alone. No one to depend on. I should stop standing here and grab something to eat.

I continue in line grabbing a chicken sandwich, an apple, and bottle of water. I spot a small table in the corner, away from everyone else, to sit. The cafeteria was peaceful and filled with little chatter. That was until, a little boy started coughing frantically. The room went silent. All eyes on the boy. The guards from outside came rushing in.

"Everyone at table three please move away from the boy." Everyone does as told except for the family. "Please move." They stand their ground, cuddling around the boy.

"He's infected!" Someone yelled.

"He's not infected!" His mom yells to the now muttering crowd. "My sweet baby boy is just tired. Not sick." You could see so many disgusted faces in the crowd towards the boy, it's crazy. "Ma'am we just want to make sure he's okay. You and your family can come with us to examine him, but we have to take him to get checked." She hesitated, but gave in. The family followed behind the gruff officer.

Chatter in the cafeteria resume as soon as they were gone. Plates clattered around me. I peek up from behind my red hair. Two guys sat across from me, too indulged in their own conversation to notice me. That's good. I don't feel like talking. Instead I just listen to their conversation.

"We aren't talking about this again."

"But what we did was messed up. Would you want me to do that to you?"

"Yes. If I was dead weight, I would want you to leave me and save yourself."

"Your full of yourself. You know damn well, you wouldn't actually want that if it happened to you."

Then there was a silence between the two. The next five minutes were quiet, but the first guy brings the subject back up.

"I just can't believe we left Momo." A chill runs through my body and my head sways until I'm consumed once again.

"Mommy I'm scared. Mommy where are you? Officer where is my mommy?"

"She's dead and you'll be next."

A shot goes off. "Sir it's done."

"If anyone else seems suspicious, bring them here immediately. I don't care if they are infected or not."

I gasped awake. Two set of eyes staring down in disbelief. Mouths wide open. "Momo?" I wipe the drool on my mouth and fix my hair, looking up at the men in front of me. "Luka? Nino?" It seems like we've been staring at each other for hours, but really just seconds.

"Breakfast is over everyone! Clean up your tables and be about your day!" An officer yells. That was a great opportunity to get out of here. I dump my plate and head for the door. Not looking back. Once I reach the parking lot, I run as fast as I can to the RV. "MORGANA WAIT!" I can hear them scream out for me, but I just run. Once I'm safe in the van, I drop to the ground catching my breath. Why did they have to be here? What's next, Anne comes running to the door saying she wants to be with me, then we'll have to leave this place, because Lucy would want Anne back?

Banging sounds on my door, pull me from my anxiety ridden thoughts. "Go away!" I yelled. "It's me, Anne!" What the hell. "Go back with Lucy and her family Anne!" I shout exhausted. "She doesn't want me. I made sure that she wouldn't want me back, so I could be with you!" My eyes widen, as I open the door to a smiling little blonde girl. "I'm back Morgana." She rushes me into a hug, causing us to fall on the ground. We laugh it off. "Aww Anne, what did you do?" She looks up at me and says, "I told her I'm sick like you."
