The Kissing Booth - The First Year

We woke up intertwined, it was half past nine, and there were some sounds downstairs.

"I have to take a shower Shelly, and I think you do too," said a smiling Noah. I was so happy that I did not even care about wrinkled face and my extremely tangled hair. We had the best night of all time. He lifted me onto his lap and led me into the shower.

"Now you can rub my back, sir ..." I said and blinked at him. He gave that wonderful smile and did as I asked. We did not linger in the shower, but we managed to soak the bathroom floor. "We have to dry up this mess or your mother will literally kill us"

It was not too cold, so I put on a shorts and T-shirt and went down to breakfast. Noah was shirtless, only in shorts.

Lee and Rachel were excited talking to Alice and Will and Mike was still asleep.

"Good morning," Noah said, and everyone replied smiling.

We sat at the table and the subject was the party today at the LA Yacht Club. Lee and Rachael had already taken their costumes, Alice and Will would go like Bonnie and Clyde ... And I was screwed ... I just did not think of any damn costume anymore, and just realized that Noah did not have one either ...

"Hey ... after coffee we need to run to the mall, the stores, the thrift stores, anywhere ... we have to find our costumes, or we'll go like Noah and Elle, nothing new!" I was a little exasperated, and he just smiled again, that big, lovely, smirk smile and said,

"Do not worry Shelly, I'll see what I can get ..." I stopped, with that question mark in the middle of my forehead

"What do you mean you'll see? Today is already the blessed party day, or rather, today is Halloween and, most probably, all the coolest costumes have already been chosen, rented, bought ... we will not find anything !!" I breathed and continued "If I had a clue that you would have come home, I might have found the perfect couple's costume for us, but now ... I'm even more lo screwed than ever... Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm would be really easier now, since you are even already shitless" I was teasing him, but really affraid we would get nothing.

He kept looking me with that smirk smile on his face. "I knew you would not be able to find anything cool, depressed to the extreme for having to go as Pebbles Flintstone, especially because you would literally had to play Lee's daughter (no one deserves this curse)," he said and got up from the table, went up the stairs and I stood there, like an idiot, with everyone staring at me without understanding anything at all, Alice and Will were smiling and whispering something we could not hear.Rachel had a wrinkle on her forehead and Lee was eating an waffle (classic hungry Lee) He came back with a white box, gave it in my hands and when I opened it was there...

"Since we are geeks and we love Star Wars, Princess Leia and Han Solo are the perfect costumes for us!" Said my Noah, my Han Solo, my hero ... he really thought about everything!

Alice smiled. "Glad you could find these costumes, we were almost crazy looking for them last week."

I did not believe it, how could it be? I was not really used to all these surprises. First on my prom last year, through the fires we saw from the Hollywood sign to the "Fantastic Chocolate Factory" that he took me in my birthday ... would he ever be inpredictable? I was doubting that much and I prayed that he would never stop being that way. I got up and ran to hug him. "Thank you my love, you're incredible"

"I could not imagine we both as Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm at the party ... a shirtless Flynn with a tacape and a little bathing suit... I do not think it would work too well" he laughed winking at Will, and I looked silly

"You really made the best choice ... or I'd be forced to hang around with all the girls who would die for Flynn" of course my tone was sarcastic and it was Alice's turn to laugh a lot

"This is Elle, good girl!!"

Mike came in and had breakfast when we were getting up from the table. We tooke the opportunity to go shopping, Alice was crazy to go to Rodeo Drive and of course Rachel and I loved the idea. Lee grunted a little, but he gave in to our pressure.

The shops were really crazy, a lot of people left everything for the last minute. Alice was delighted, she had never gone to Rodeo Drive.

We had lunch at the mall and went to my house, I wanted to introduce everyone to my father and show how the house decoration was fantastic.

Brad was in the street playing taco with his friends and when he saw us arriving he came running to meet Noah ... impressive how my brother always loved him.

"Hey, it's almost time for you to come in to take a shower and put on that Minion costume I gave you." He looked up at Noah and laughed and said, "But do I need to shower?" 

"There folks, this is my dear Mr. Stinky" he glared at me with his eyes

We went in and Dad was in the kitchen "Hi dad, we have guests"

"Hi Elle, Noah ... how nice that you decided to come here! I just packed up the candy and I need Noah to help me hang the ropes on the baluster." My dad was almost as big as me, so without a ladder and my boyfriend about six feet tall, he would not hang anything ... I seemed to have guessed he would need help.

"Sure, Dad, but first let me introduce you to Noah's friends, all from Harvard"

He came out of the kitchen smiling, with the two baskets full of candy. Mike and Will hurried to help him and put them on the coffee table. "These are Will and Mike, this is Alice"

"Hello Mr. Evans, it's a pleasure to meet you. Elle talks a lot about you" said Alice.

We talked a little and the boys went to help my father. I went upstairs with Alice to show my room, she loved the vintage decor, she was enchanted with my dressing table "OMG Elle, your room is adorable... it shows exactly your soft personality" she was a real sweetheart

"Elle, come with Alice, I'll make us some coffee," my father shouted from the bottm of the stairs and we went down. Before leaving, I had to get some makeup that would need later and two more changes of clothes (without Noah seeing).

It was almost six in the afternoon when we returned to Noah's house, time to start getting ready for the party, Noah and I were "arguing" who would shower first, but in the end he let me go because he knew that I would take hours in makeup and hair.

While I was in the shower he put a song to roll in the room and went in the bathroom to shave, to the sound of Californication. I finished my bath and went to fix the hair. It took us at least two and a half hours to get ready and when we looked in the mirror in front of his bed we were perfect. "I got it right!" He said, giving me a kiss.

We went downstairs and the boys were having cocktails by the pool. The Flynn house was also decorated for Halloween, June and Matthew were dressed as the couple in the movie "16 Candles" ... June kindly reminded me of that movie, I do not know why. They were very cute and some children started the night saga of "Trick or Treating".

"Your costume is beautiful Rachel," said a Bonnie Alice who was also perfect in her fantasy. Will like Clark and Mike was very funny dressed in Chewbacca, he was our Wookie.

Noah was wonderful, as if it was possible he, got even more handsome. He came with a drink to me and gave me a light kiss "You are very sexy Princess Leia."

Time to go ... We got in the cars and went to the party.
