What a night... - Noah

Almost a month had passed and the only news I got from Elle was given by my mother ... and according to Mrs. Flynn, she was very introspective. They have talked, and Elle explained the whole situation to her. Of course my mother said she was right to ask for this time, but she added that maybe she should also consider and try to see things from my point of view. She did not mention that I had told her what had happened. Elle was playing tough... but she addimeted to my mom that she was missing me so much, but was still a bit hurt.

"Baby, things will get better soon, you're coming for Christmas and I bet you guys will reconcile..." My mother was hopeful when we were talking about me coming to LA.

"I really hope so mom... I can not stand all this anymore... even Alice tried to talk to her, but she was a little evasive..." I stoped for a moment,  even with all my activities, I missed her so much "Well, we'll see. I'll be home in two days, and I'll try to talk like her in person..."and I hoped she would want to talk to me.

"I love you son, take care, good party tomorrow, have fun and see you on Saturday. We'll pick you up at the airport. "

"Thank you, I love you too, Mom. Bye."

I hung up, lay down and went back to my memories ... it was 25 days without any conversation, I had not even asked Lee about her, at most I have sent some quick messages "Is she well?" and his answers were always the same "Yes, she's okay." It was true that I wanted to ask another things, but I was sure he would tell her at the same moment... and the last thing I needed was for her to assume I was trying to pressure her.

The last class of the year was the one I had with Sharon, thank God since our last talk in the hall, she did not even try to talk to me again, and I just saw her one time reading at the common room. But it was not my lucky day, as soon as I got to class she was at the door.

"Hi Noah, how are you?"

I tried to be as polite as possible, I did not want her to realize that something was wrong. "I'm fine, thank you" I did not return the question.

"Oh... I'm fine too silly, thank you for asking ... so I have not seen you much this month, studying hard?"

I was not in the mood to continue this "Yes, a loads to do." I did not say anything else, I just walked into class and sat next to Robert.

"Hey man, I did not see you in training earlier ... is everything okay?" it was very difficult for me to miss the training, of course he would find it strange

"Oh yes, everything is fine. I just decided to get some more sleep today, I stayed up until two in the morning to finish the assay for this class ... I was tired and I called our couch earlier to explain. He understood, and since we'll have these two weeks break, he let me skip the practice today. Are you going home in during the recess? "

"Yes, I'm going to Houston tonight, and you? Back to LA?"

"Saturday morning. Tomorrow I'm going to that Christmas party in the dorm."

"Yep, it is promising to be a great party, but unfortunately I will not be able to go, but we will have many parties to go next year" he was right

"Will and Alice are also going to Houston with Alice's parents, did you guys come up with something?"

"We'll meet at New Year's Eve. There's a party known as one of the best in town. It is sad that you and Elle can not go there, it would be very nice have all our gang together." He mentioned Elle and my heart squeezed ... but I did not say anything.

The teacher came in and we finished the conversation.
