I was really angry with the booth crew... I knew that nothing had happened between Joe and Elle, he never tried anything else with her, but hearing his name coming from her mouth really, really annoyed me.

I had to get dressed and go to class in the morning, and at lunchtime I completely forgot about Joe and the Fundraiser. We would have a great football practice in the afternoon and I could not think of anything else, or my income would not be reasonable.

Alice was watching our training and was very excited, Will had been chosen the captain of the team. We decided to have dinner after the shower.

"Hey Noah, you're playing really well! Keep it up and a great team will end up drafting you next season." Will said as we sat down at the restaurant

"I'm trying to focus more, even going crazy for the amount of things we have to do for classes. I always thought the first year of college would be smoother, I could not be more wrong about it."

"And Elle, is she all right? It's been a while since you've said nothing about her." Alice was a little worried

"Elle is fine, poor baby is going crazy with the amount of activities at school as well. She and Lee are on the council, so it all gets more insane now. Remember that I told you about the Fundraiser party they have tomorrow? I wanted to be there... I really miss her... and there's that guy Joe working with them at the booth... "Hey, big bro, you know you don't have to feel that way about Joe ... even Lee said it to you, remember?" Alice was trying to calm me down.

"I know ... but I'm jealous of him, he's right there beside her and I'm going crazy here studying and training... when adult life has become so complicated?" I softened my voice and laughed.

"Summer is coming ... soon she will come to Cambridge. Now we need to focus on the game tomorrow and the last three months of the first year. We will be veterans next year" Will was smiling at me and I sincerely laughed with him

"Ok man, you're right ... let's eat, I need to go back and talk to Elle. She was furious this morning because I didn't talk to her yesterday... my phone ran out of battery, she got really mad and called me at 9am... 5 AM in LA... knowing that she hates to wake up early, I realized how angry she was with me. That little one is tuff when she wants"

I was very tired, but I called Elle, she answered on the first ring. When the camera came into focus, I saw how beautiful she looked.

"I was doing a makeup tutorial I saw on Youtube. It's for tomorrow's party, did you like it?"

"Of course ... I can imagine how many guys will stare at you..." I tried not to be jealous, of course I could not, but I laughed

"Oh baby, don't be silly... so how was your day?"

"I just got back from the last practice before the game tomorrow, I had dinner with Alice and Will. He's going to be the team captain tomorrow ... I wanted you and my parents to be here for the game... if we win this, we'll be in the semifinals... "

"You're right ... tell me about the booths, no kissing booth this year?"

"No ... our stand was too classic to be replayed this year, no one wanted to have Kissing Booth 2, and we kind of like it, so our booth will be marked by generations, but unfortunately this is not something we can put in our college applications ... have you ever wondered if we could explain? This was my Elle, always joking, my heart softened the moment she started to laugh and I was sure she was no longer thinking about my disappearance from the day before. We talked at least about an hour, much more than all the talk we had in the last few days.

"I have to go Noah, you know, I'm going to have to be at the exhibition center really early ... If I'm late again, Lee will kill me! Will you call me before the game?

We won the game, it was easier than I thought and everyone was very happy with our win, the semifinals would be after Spring Break, so we decided we would have a big party at night to celebrate our win.

I called Elle "Hey baby, we won, I knew you'd give me luck" I was really excited and she was laughing with me on the phone

"Noah, I'm so happy for you! I wanted to be there just to give you a big kiss !! "

"It was a good game, not so difficult, but it was good. We decided to throw a party in the evening to celebrate having reached the semifinals! I hope you and my parents can come then, it will be after Spring Break "

I slept a little too much and woke up with Alice calling "Hello Sleeping Beauty, I bet you're late"

"I'm finishing up my makeup while Will finishes his bath. We'll wait for you downstairs in half an hour ... say hello to Elle for me," she knew I would at least talk to her for 10 minutes, or more ...

Cindy and I stood side by side, talking, laughing, like real longtime friends. The party was very good, we had a lot of fun, we danced a lot and I decided not to drink too much, so when I went back to my room, I was alone and happy.

I got a message from Elle that she was going to have dinner at my house with the booth gang. I looked at the clock, it was 5am. I needed to get some sleep, so I just texted her good night and slept.
