Thanksgiving - Noah

Waking up next to Elle is the best thing in the world, at least for me... she looks like an angel and I always loved watching her sleep. It was almost nine in the morning and we had agreed to have breakfast with Alice and Will. I texted Will. "Good morning, what time are you thinking on going down for breakfast? Elle is still asleep." I got up and looked out the window, it was cold, cloudy, but there was still no snow.

Will replied, "Alice is sleeping too, do you think they'll be ready in an hour? Cafe Luna is near the campus "

"I think so, okay ... I'll wake Elle and in an hour we'll be downstairs."

"Fine, I'll do the same here ... Alice is very slow in the morning. See you"

I started to touch Elle's hair, she opened her eyes "Good morning ... are you real or am I dreaming?" She groaned

"No, my love, you're here with me." I kissed her. "We have to get up for breakfast with Will and Alice. It's almost 9:30, I arranged to meet them downstairs in an hour"

"Ok ... let my eyes get used to the light ... and it's so warm here, I'd lie down all day," she was very lazy

"We'll have time for this tomorrow ... but today we have this breakfast, you have your interview after lunch and, at night, dinner at Alice's house"

"Alright then ... I have to bathe or I can not wake up and I need a back massage ... who in the world could help me?" She laughed.

I took Elle to the shower and took the time to do a lot more than shower. An hour later, we were downstairs waiting for the late couple.

Cafe Luna was actually very close to campus so we decided to walk there. Alice recommended that we order the Belgian waffle with Nutella and Strawberries, and of course Elle approved. Stawberries were her second love, she always said that, since I was her first.

After breakfast we went for a walk on Campus, I tried to show all the important places in Harvard for Elle and also showed the football field. She was surprised.

"It's really wonderful here ... the only thing I'm not used to is this cold weather ... will I ever get used to it if I come here next year?"

"I think so," Will said. "I'm from Houston and we have warmer weather there as well, not like you guys in California, but it's not as cold as here. It's still my first winter here, but we've been feeling a bit colder for two months now ... I think I'm starting to get used to it. "

We sat on a bench and Will continued, "I'm sure Noah is getting used to the cold here, and even more so, even if he's not so used to it, he's going to add some other good reasons in the package because he obviously will not let you think about going to another college." He blinked and laughed at my face.

"Of course I'll talk about the advantages of being here, but what really counts is my wonderful company ..." I smirked and she laughed

"So self confident huh? Well, I'm going to try, first to get in here, and then to get used to the weather and maybe I'll let in count what you said about the company, you know?" She was laughing at my face too.

"These people should be your main motivation ... so you're really going to leave Harvard as your first choice?" I knew she dreamed about Yale too.

"Yes, I'll try only Harvard, Columbus, and UCLA ... I will not run for Yale, at least not now."

"We're going to make a toast to that decision tonight," Alice said. "I'll be very happy if you come to study here. Noah even said you could rent a house or an apartment near campus, which would be better than staying in a small dorm. "

"Yes we will see." Elle said "There's also Lee and Rachel, they're thinking on coming too," the last sentence sounded like a doubt ... and I noticed Elle's eyes were a little sad.

"Hey, speaking of this, he must have already done the interview, I'll send a message and see if they're around," I texted Lee and She cheered up, I knew she loved me, but her friendship with Lee was one of the most important things that she had and if they got appart during college, she would be sorry.

Lee called instead of answering the message and we met him in front of my building.

"Hey man, how was it?" He had a smiling face and Rachel was a little serious

"It was okay, I think I went well you know? But I also have this incredible charm, I'm a Flynn ..." he said confidently

"You had to see who he did the interview with ... she's blonde and has a sculptural body! According to my dear boyfriend, she is 47 years old and is one of the chief architects of the revitalization project in the southern area ... I do not know what ... blah blah blah" Rachel was really very angry and jealous

"Calm down, my love, I only have eyes for you." Lee kissed her.

Elle was laughing, but I felt she was getting nervous about her interview sooner, I hugged her 

"We got an hour before lunch, want to see the library?" Alice suggested and we all went there.

After lunch I went with Elle to the Physical Education building and waited while Mr. Phillip interviewed her.

An hour later she came out smiling and he came to greet me.

"Hello Noah, very good to receive your girlfriend, she is a charm" he really was enchanted by Elle... and who could not be

"I told you she was special" I shook his hand "Have a great holiday, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family"

"Thanks, Noah, to you too, see you next week." He said goodbye to us and left.

"Hey princess, how did it go?"

"Excellent Noah ... I think I have a good chance on getting here next year, and also I can dream about being on the women's soccer team." She smiled and gave me a long kiss.

When we got to Alice's house, everything was prepared for the special night and the Howards were very excited. Mom, Dad, the Evans and the Howards were sitting in front of the fireplace talking, Elle went straight upstairs to meet Lee and I stayed at the pool table with Alice and Will. Will's parents would not come, but they were waiting for Alice and her parents in Houston for Christmas.

We smell the turkey with cranberry sauce coming from the kitchen.

"Come on dears, let's sit down for dinner." May (Alice's mother) called us

Elle, Lee and Rachel went downstairs, we sat down at the table carefully prepared to offer us a banquet.

Daniel did the prayer, we all had so much to thank ... I was more than happy with all the choices I was making in my life and closed my eyes when he was finishing his words.

The banquet began and outside, the first snowflake fell.

"Happy Thanksgiving," I whispered to Elle ... "I love you." She smiled and nodded.
