I wake up snuggled next to Trey. He is lying on his back, with his arms wrapped around me, and I'm lying on my side with my head resting against his chest. I keep my eyes closed, not wanting to move. This feels too good.
Part of me is thinking I should just open my eyes, push him away, and act like it means nothing. That I shouldn't let my feelings for Cody and Trey go past best-friendship. I should just find some other guy to fall in love with and keep both my best friends.
But I can't do that.
I sigh and open my eyes. I glance at Trey, his eyes are closed. He's wearing a white t-shirt that hugs his chest, a pair of pajama pants, and his brown hair is messy.
"Staring is considered rude," he smirks with his eyes still closed. My cheeks heat up and I look away from his face.
"I wasn't staring," I defend myself, even if it's a total lie.
"Sure you weren't," his smirk turns into a grin.
"I wasn't," I repeat but I know he doesn't believe me. It's useless to argue with him. "Let's go make breakfast." Trey removes his arms from around me and I immediately miss his touch. I crawl down the ladder followed by Trey. As we walk into the kitchen, there's no sign of Angel or Amber.
"What are you making?" Trey asks as he lifts himself up onto the counter.
"You're helping me," I inform him. "And we are making pancakes."
He rolls his eyes, leaning over to put his ipod on a docking station, turning the music up. I gather the things we will need to make them, setting them onto the counter. The two of us start to make the mix, which is super easy. It also happens to be the only part I can really do since I can't flip a pancake. I always end up ruining it.
I watch as Trey pours some of the mix into circles on the pan. His ipod switches to the song Shake It by Metro Station, I race over to turn it up. I start to dance to it. Trey leans against the counter, watching me with a smirk. I dance my way over to him and grab his hands, pulling him away from the counter.
Gripping his hands, we dance together. Trey stops to quickly flip the pancakes. He lets go of one of my hands, spinning me in circle as I laugh. This is a perfect start to my morning!
"What are you guys doing?" Angel asks as she walks into the room followed by Amber, both looking tired.
"Dancing!" Trey yells over the music, pulling me close. After another few seconds we stop so Trey can finish with the pancakes. Angel and Amber take a seat at the island. I push myself onto the counter, letting my legs dangle.
"Can we have some too?" Amber sends a flirty smile to Trey. I feel like slapping her but refrain myself from doing so.
"Yeah, sure," Trey smiles at them both. I roll my eyes. Why does he have to be so nice to her?
Wait, does he like her?

"Hey, look! We're matching!" Cody exclaims as picks me up from my house Thursday morning. We start our walk to the school. I laugh.
"Everyone's matching today," I remind him. Our football team is having one of their games at our school today. Since it's a home game everyone is excited. Today's game is a special one. It's a night game, so it starts at eight instead of right after school.
I'm wearing a pair of purple jean shorts, Trey's jersey, and a pair of black Converse. I put on some purple eye-shadow and let my hair fall in waves with ribbons. I feel silly looking like this but I push the feeling aside, everyone will look like this today.
