12 Years Ago:

"Alexus? Honey? Where are you?" The young girls mother cries from the kitchen.

Seconds later a tiny, gold headed five year old strolls into the kitchen. Her dress is tattered and dirty with splotches of paint on it, her hair painting the same image but there's a beautiful smile on her face.

"Yes, mommy?" The young girl questions, the smile never leaving her face.

"What on earth happened to you?" Her mother asks; voice laced with, not concern but amusement.

"Well..." The little girl starts. "I was wondering what I should paint today and I decided to paint an earthworm. But in order to paint it I had to know what it looked like, so I dug for one and wouldn't stop until I found the perfect one."

"That's my little girl, persistent as always." The mother gushes, sweeping her golden haired baby into a hug.

"Ah, there my two favourite girls are." The father says walking into the kitchen.

The family of three embrace each other and smile at their luxurious lives.
