Around an hour or two after Daniel had left a knock was heard at the door.

"Come in." I croak.

The door silently swings open and there is Ava. Her brown eyes filled with worry and brown hair wild.

"You never told me." She chokes out.

"I never knew." I reply.

"How long do you have left?" She asks, just above a whisper.

I look over at the calendar across the room and sigh. "Just over a month now."

Her face looks puzzled for a moment so I assume she's trying to figure something out.

"How are you feeling right now? You up for an adventure?" She smiles.

"Always up for an adventure. Especially with you." I grin.

She checks the time on her phone and throws some sweats at me, from her bag. "Here. Wear these."

I pull on the clothes and get myself off of the bed. It's surprisingly easy considering my... situation.

Ava grabs my hand and leads me out of my room, down the hallway and out of the hospital. All without getting caught. We walk for a while until we stop at some sort of sunflower field.

"It's beautiful." I say.

"Just wait." She smiles and pulls me towards a big rock.

"Can you climb it?" She asks after a moment of hesitation.

I nod my head eagerly and we climb the rock together. She gives a little bit of help along the way but we make it to the top.

"What are we waiting for?" I ask referring to her previous statement.

"I wanted you to see the sunset before you uh... passed. Because I remember when you told me that you never got around to seeing it." She smiles at me, a small tear escaping her eye.

I look at the sky in front of me and am in awe. The sky is splattered with different shades of reds, pinks and oranges. I return my gaze back to the girl sitting next to me and blush.

"Thank you for showing this to me Ava." I whisper, grabbing her hand.

She squeezes mine for a second before letting go.

"Stop." She mumbles.

"Stop what?" I ask.

"Stop making me fall for you if your not gonna be here to hold me." She cries.

"I'm afraid I can't do that." I say.

"Why not?" She demands.

"It wouldn't be fair because I've already fallen for you." I answer.
