•••"Abigail, can I show you something?" I ask.
"Sure." She replies.
"Okay I'll be right back." I say running down to my art studio.
I pick up one of the canvases that I had been working on for a while a brought it upstairs with me.
"I uhm did this." I say, showing her the painting.
"You painted my little brother." She smiles sadly.
"Yeah I thought you might like it." I explain, messing with my sleeves.
"It's beautiful." She grins, pulling me into a hug.
"So the funerals tomorrow?" I say.
"Yeah." She mumbles.
"Tyler was honestly one of the best things to happen to me." I sigh.
"Me too." She agrees.
"Do you wanna-"
"No. I'm fine." She says cutting me off.
"Are you sure? We can ju-"
"Lex, it's fine. Honestly." She states.
"You can stay here if you want." I offer.
She nods her head and close the door of my bedroom as I leave. I walk downstairs but only see Daniel.
"Hey Danny, have you seen Zach?" I ask.
"He left twenty minutes ago. He told me to tell you goodbye." He explains.
"Great." I mutter.
"What's wrong?" He asks, concerned.
"Nothing I just- I just wanted to talk to him." I say."You can always talk to me." He smiles.
"It's just so hard. You know? I'm trying to be here for my best friend but I don't know how!" I cry.
"Shh. It's okay." He comforts, kissing my forehead.
I cry into my best friend's chest whilst he rubs small circles on my back.

I wake up the next morning tired. Today is the day of Tyler's funeral. I get dressed into a vintage green, embroidered dress and some lace up black boots. I brush out my hair and leave it in its natural beach waves.
"Mom, are you ready?" I shout from my room.
"Yes one minute. I'm trying to fix your fathers tie." She shouts back.
I let out a little chuckle before going to check my phone. As I'm scrolling through my social media it rings.
"Alexus?" Abigail sobs.
