•••"What did you say to him?" I ask as soon I see Jack.
"Who?" He questions.
"Zachary." I state.
He runs a hand through his curly hair before replying. "I told him to stay away from you. Your going to hurt him."
"And how on earth would you know that?" I ask, challenging him.
"Listen, Zach is glass. He's fragile and easily broken. Your walking on ice, Alexus, get out before someone breaks it. I don't want you to fall." He states.
I laugh for a second and Jack gives me a quizzical look.
"Why are you laughing?" He demands.
"Cause personally, I don't agree with a word you just said." I scoff.
"And why is that?"
"Because... Zach isn't just glass. He's a mosaic, just waiting to be painted." I reply.
"What? And your gonna be the one to paint him?" Jack asks sarcastically.
"Yes. Yes I am." I say walking away.
•
"Hey!" I smile walking up to Zachary's table.
"Hi?" He laughs turning to face me and putting some fries in his mouth.
"Your taking me on a date." I announce.
As I say that Zachary's face turns bright red and he almost chokes on his French fries.
"I'm What?" He splutters.
"Your taking me on a date." I repeat.
"No I'm not. Not unless you stop calling me 'Zachary'. Makes me feel old." He grins, with his new profound confidence.
"Zach, you are taking me on a date." I repeat once again.
"Shouldn't I be the one asking you?" He questions.
I bite my lip in thought for a second before shrugging. "Feel free to ask."
"Cupcake, would you like to go on a date with me?" He asks, a smirk plastered on his face.
"Pick me up at eight." I smile.
"Dress casual." He winks.
I walk away and down the hall when I'm attacked by a wild animal. Abigail.
"Oh my god! Zach Freaking Herron just asked you out." She squeals.
"Calm down he's not a celebrity and actually I instigated the idea of the date." I say.
"So What? You like him now?"
She asks."I'm not sure." I pout.
"I guess we'll just have to wait and see." She smiles.
"That we will."

I paced my room and smoothed down my outfit. I was wearing a mustard coloured sweater, ripped jeans and some ankle boots.
What if the date goes wrong?
A knock at the door pulls me away from my thoughts and I rush to open it.
"Hey... Cupcake." He smiles.
"Hey... Zachary." I mock him.
We head towards his car in the driveway and we drive in silence for a while.
"So... where are we going?" I ask, trying to start a conversation.
"I'm taking you to get food and then I'm going to show you something special." He says, eyes not leaving the road.
His hands have a tight grip on the steering wheel and his knuckles are almost white. Does he always drive like this?
Zachary parked the car and when we got out I realised that we were in front of a Mc'Donalds.
I turned to look at Zachary and he had a wide grin spread across his face. He grabbed my hand and we sped inside.
After we had finished eating he drove us to an alleyway and parked the car.
"Are you going to kill me?" I asked as I cautiously stepped out the car.
"No, I'm not going to kill you." He laughs.
"Best not. My funeral's gonna cost a lot of money." I mumble.
"You and I both know money is not an issue." He says nodding towards his car.
I walk so I am standing next to him and he grabs my hand. We start walking up the alley way until he stops and looks at something on the wall.
I turn to look at what he's staring at and I let out a quiet gasp. It's a spray paint of me. I look and the tiny signature at the bottom of the art and I gasp once again.
"You're Graê?"
