D A N I E L
•••That Morning~
I got up out of bed and ran a hand through my brown locks. School. I checked the time on my alarm and realised that I was late.
With a sigh I ran downstairs almost tripping and saw my mom standing there in her dressing gown.
"Shouldn't you be at work?" I ask.
"Nope." She answers a small smirk playing on her lips.
"What do you mean? It's 7:40am." I say bewildered.
"No it's not. Check your phone." She tells me.
I cautiously pull my phone out of my joggers. I turn on the phone and look at my mother. It's 6:42am.
"B-but my alarm clock said 7:35?" I question myself.
My mom immediately starts laughing and I point an accusing finger at her.
"You did this, didn't you?" I ask angrily.
She continues to laugh and I stomp up to my room to get dressed since I was already awake.
When I was finished I walked back downstairs and when my mom saw me she immediately began to laugh again. Honestly, that woman.
"Hey! You should invite that Alexus girl ,you love to talk about, to dinner." My mom suggests.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because I want to get to know her." She smiles.
"No." I reply, monotone.
"Daniel James Seavey! Did you just say no to your mother?" She questions.
"No?" I mumble.
"Yes you did. You just did it again. I'm not going to let this go until you ask her." She smirks.
"Fine. I'll ask." I tell her, annoyed.
She squeals and pulls me into a hug. I swear she acts like she's still in her teens. I say goodbye to my mom and head to school.
I walk into the art room and see Alexus smiling to herself and painting.
Its beautiful the way her pale green eyes studied the art she was painting. The way how she made it seem like she was the only person in the room. They way she stuck her tongue out a little when she was concentrating.
I must've been staring for a while because a couple of kids got mad and barged past me.
I whispered a quiet apology and walked toward my seat. I looked up at the golden haired girl in front of me and had one thought pas through my mind. Angel.
