Chapter 20: Busy but not Forgotten

Days passed. Lauren was busy creating a new set list for her tour. She was always in her phone talking to Normani with all her ideas that may benefit her own show.

Camila understood that but she’s having a hard time on explaining it to their daughter. Clara was always looking for her other mom. Most of the days Lauren was locked up at her room, she knows her daughter was whining about not spending time together but she wants to create a perfect tour this time because Camila is coming with her.

Lauren’s thoughts were interrupted by ringing phone, Camila’s name flashed on the screen. She immediately grabbed and slide to answer.

“Hi beautiful” she said with a sweet voice.

“Mommy!” the person on the other line yells.

“Oh hi Baby girl, how are you? Where’s your Mama?”

“Were both here in the shop but she’s busy. I sneaked out her phone to call you. I miss you Mommy.” Clara said with sad voice.

“Oh. I’m sorry baby, Mommy’s busy recently but I’ll make it up to you soon okay? btw, I miss you too. “

“When will I see you? Grampy picked me up yesterday he said you’re not in his house. Where are you?”

“I’m at Downtown Miami yesterday baby. I met some friends from work. But I’m at town today. You want me to go there?”

“Really??? But I know you’re busy Mommy. I don’t want to bother you. Mama said you’re doing your music that’s why you’re locked up to your room.”

“I am. But how can I ignore my baby now? I don’t wanna see her sad. Now you’re gonna do me a little favor baby.”

“What is it Mommy?”

“I will go there and see you and you’re Mama, but you’re not gonna tell her that I’m coming. It’s a surprise!”

“Yes! Yes! I’m not gonna tell her!” The kid said excitedly.

“And one more thing, can you sneak me out three red roses from your Mom’s shop? I don’t wanna show up with nothing aren’t we baby?”

“I got you Mommy. Mama is busy at the back so she won’t see me. See you Mommy!”

“Okay baby. See you. Be there in 10 okay? Bye baby.”

So Lauren stood up from all her unfinished work and grabs her jacket. She doesn’t want to disappoint her daughter anymore.

She grabs her keys at the table and bid her goodbye to her father and hops into her car and drive to Camila’s shop.

After few minutes of driving. She finally sees her daughter waiting for outside the shop with three red roses in her hand.

She parked her car, and quickly got out which was greeted by a running Clara. The kid immediately jumps on her Mom and hugs her tight.

“Woah! Miss me that much baby?” as she reciprocated the hug tightly. “I really love your hugs baby” She kissed Clara’s forehead as she descends from her.

“I miss you so much! And oh, here’s the red roses. Mommy’s in the back. I told Aunt Taylor that you’re coming because she saw me picking those. But I said to her that you’re gonna surprise Mama. She zipped her mouth and help me pick fresh flowers.”

“It’s okay baby. Your Mama will notice that it’s her flowers too. Ha-ha! At least we surprise her right?” Lauren said while laughing at her daughter.

Clara nodded and tugs her Mother to the shop entrance. Taylor notice that Lauren already arrived, she sends the singer a big smile and points the direction of Camila at the back of their shop. She mouthed Thank you and continue to follow her daughter.

The two walked to the back without making a loud noise.

Meanwhile, Camila is busy doing the flower arrangements for her customers, there’s a lot of them. It diverts attention. She misses Lauren but she knows that the singer was busy for her tour and indeed it was a busy week for both of them. So she busied herself in making flowers for her customers.

Camila doesn’t know that Lauren was already watching her, her back was facing her daughter and singer.

Lauren couldn’t help but to check out Camila. Ever since they were in middle school the brunette is stunning and hot. She always watched her at the Cheerio’s practice after school before going to her own football practice. Nothing much changed. She still admire her body.

She grabbed the roses from her daughter and told her not to make any noise.

She slowly walked towards the stunning brunette who was still oblivious what’s happening behind her.

Finally, Lauren was at the back of Camila and she slowly hug the brunette from behind.

Camila was startled by sudden intruder of her personal space but before she violently reacts, she notices the familiar arms she was longing to, she suddenly felt safe. It was Lauren.

“Hi.” Lauren whisper in her ear.

“Hello.” The brunette replied with a giggle. She leans her head on Lauren shoulder, “I didn’t know you’re coming here, is there any problem?”

“Yes there is.”

Camila turn her head with a concern look and then she asks the singer, “What the problem Lo?”

Lauren smiles and replied, “I’m missing you so much, that’s my problem.”

Before Camila could kiss Lauren, she already heard a small giggle and then she looks over Lauren shoulder and she saw their daughter giggling at the door while watching them.

She called Clara to come closer to them. “So you know about this sweet pea?”

“I called Mommy using your phone and then she said she wanted to see us.”

She looks at the singer, only to be face by the three roses. She smiled and hug Lauren again.

“I really like your hugs but I love your kisses too, you know.” Lauren said with a pout.

Camila never think twice and leans in to capture Lauren’s pouty lips. It was just a peck. But it sends both of them a feel of satisfaction and they both smiled after.

Clara sprinted to her Moms, the two Latinas notice this and stoop down to hug their daughter.

They remained silent for a couple of seconds before Lauren broke the silence.

“How about we spend the day together at the Local amusement park?”

Camila and Clara smiled widely and nodded.

After finishing her flower arrangements, Camila asked Taylor to continue the remaining orders and she called her other worker Alexa to come in for work earlier than her shift.

Clara was carried by her Mommy Lauren.

Lauren and Camila held hands while walking towards her car with satisfied smile plastered on their faces.
