ZOE
As I walked up the stairs to get to Alfie's flat I had the usual butterflies in my stomach. I knocked on the door with a smile on my face before stepping back and waiting for him to answer the door.
After a few seconds I heard footsteps coming towards the door and I smiled even bigger. I don't know what it was about Alfie that made me smile so much. But when I smiled, Alfie smiled and I loved him big smile. I looked down at my shoes before realizing the laces were untied. I leaned down and started to knot my laces.
I heard the familiar click of the door opening so I looked up. I quickly stood up and straightened myelf out.
"Oh shit. Uh, Marcus. Fuck. I kind of forgot you were here, em. Is Alfie inside?" I stuttered out nervously.
"He's out, you can wait inside if you want?" Marcus laughed whilst confidently speaking.
I stepped over the door and dragged my feet along the ground whilst walking over to the sofa in the middle of the small room. I lightly sat down on the sofa before crossing my legs and picking at my nails, just to distract myself.
Marcus strolled through the light room before collapsing on the other side of the sofa. He turned to face me, I tried to ignore is gaze that I felt on the side of me.
I gave in and glanced over at him to see him smiling at me.
"You weren't this awkward the other day Zoe? What's wrong? I'm not going to do anything you don't want me to." Marcus laughed. I started to relax slightly before wondering why I even felt awkward in the first place. I had known Marcus for a long time and he had never been horrible to me in person. I began to get more comfortable but I still didn't engage in too much conversation with Marcus.
There was another knock at the door after a while, I perked up abit at the thought of it being Alfie but it soon disappeared after I realized he would have a key to get in, he wouldn't have to knock.
Marcus opened the door again and I heard an unfamiliar voice.
"Scott! Come in! Where've you been lately man!"
I turned around to see a normal height, tanned, brunette walk through the door. He pulled Marcus by the shoulder and hugged him for a couple seconds before walking into the room and setting his eyes on me.
"Oh sorry man, did I interrupt you and this lovely lady?" Scott looked up and down my body, making me feel extremely self-conscious.
"Uh no, it's Alfie's girl. Zoe Sugg." Marcus informed him.
"Zoe Sugg, well it's a pleasure to meet you Zoe Sugg." The boy knelt down on his knee in front of me and took one of my hands in his. He kissed my hand before laying it back down on my lap. I blushed at the kind gesture yet still felt uncomfortable as all I knew about him was him name and that he knew Marcus.
The boy walked around the room for a minute, picking up photos and other stuff that was just laying around. My eyes followed him around the room as Marcus was in the kitchen getting a couple of beers for the two of them to have.
"So if you're Alfie's girl where is he? Cause it looks like it's only you and Marcus here." Scott said to me questioningly.
"He's out, I'm waiting here for him until he gets back." I shyly replied.
"Ahh, so you must know Marcus if you're here with him yourself. How'd you too meet?" He asked before plopping down next to me on the sofa. He looked at me whilst I glanced up at him every few seconds. I felt awkward but I was too polite to let him know. He was only being nice, I think.
"We uh, we met a while back, I knew Marcus before I knew Alfie."
Marcus walked back into the room, a beer in each hand. He passed one to Scott before sitting down in a chair. "What we speaking about in here then?" Marcus asked us both.
"We're just discussing how you two came across each other. The girl isn't giving too much away though man, don't worry." He winked at me before laughing. I awkwardly sat there and smiled slightly, trying to act like he was funny even though he wasn't.
"Ha ha, you're so funny Scott. How me and Zoe met is a very normal story. A couple of our friends introduced us a while back. She met Alfie around a week ago." Marcus told him.
"I don't get it. How could the girl know you and not Alfie? You's are like best friends and have been since I've known the two of you?" Scott inquired sounding nosy.
"Does it really matter? Why do you care? It's not even important!" I butted in, I was annoyed. Why did this boy have so many questions about me. It was none of his business. "And by the way my name is Zoe not 'the girl'". I stood up and started to walk towards the door. I had had enough of Scott, and he had only been in the room for a very short amount of time. I grabbed the door handle aggresively and pulled the door open. A very surprised looking Alfie stood on the other side of the door. The annoying feeling weighing down on my chest like a ton of bricks lifted instantly.
"Zoe? What are you doing here? Or just leaving here?" Alfie questioned. The immediate thought in my mind is that Alfie thought I was here to see Marcus, which I wasn't.
"Oh, I came to see you but you weren't here. So I came in and sat down with Marcus in silence, complete silence for a while. Then this Scott boy came and he started being all weird and asking all these questions about me in front of me and then he started getting to me and you and I don't even know where we are or what we tell people or anything. I got all annoyed and I was just leaving and I was going to go back to mine then text you and tell you to come over but now you're here and so am I so it doesn't matter any more." I rambled quickly.
"Woah Zoe. It's okay. Did you say Scott?" Alfie stepped into the flat and past me, ignoring what I had just said to him, his eyes found Scott sitting in the same place on the sofa as he was only seconds ago.
"Alfie Deyes! I have not seen you in forever!" Scott stood up from his seat before making his way over to Alfie. He extended his hand out towards Alfie asking for a handshake. Alfie took his hand in his own before pulling it down and kneeing him in between his legs. Scott coughed whilst falling down to the ground. My mouth fell open as my small hands flew up to my face to cover it. I was in complete shock and I had no idea what to say or do. Marcus stood up from his chair and took a couple steps towards the two boys before standing still and looking at me.
"You fucking bastard! What the fuck gives you the fucking nerve to come here!? I thought I made it fucking clear last time! Was what I said not enough!? Do you need be reminded again! I'll gladly do it you fucking prick!" Alfie screamed down at Scott.
I looked at Marcus again with wide eyes as my hands slowly moved back down to my side and I closed my mouth. I had absolutely no clue what on earth had just happened.
