There were no words to wrap around both Spencer and Melanie's minds whenever they were reminded that they were engaged. It seemed unreal to the couple. Maybe it was because it was the spur of the moment and even Spencer himself was shocked that he had the guts to do it without any type of planning. A couple of days after they got engaged, they had went off on their vacation to a tropical island - all expenses were paid for by the amazing David Rossi.

The newly engaged couple have been there time together and away from the craziness of their jobs. It was weird for both of them, however. Neither of them have ever taken a vacation like this in their lives so it was going to be an experience.

The two of them had walked back into their hotel room from lounging at the beach. The sun beaming down on them as they laid on beach chairs was something they surprisingly found enjoyable.

"Who knew that this would actually be fun?" Melanie said as she kicked off her flip flops.

"Did you think it was going to be a disaster?" Spencer asked jokingly with a chuckle.

"No! I just thought I'd go a little insane with not doing any kind of work." Melanie replied. She really has not thought about work since landing in Turks and Caicos. It was nice to have her mind finally turned off for the time being.

The girl walked over to the bed and laid down; a content sigh escaped her lips as her head hit the soft pillow. Spencer had kicked his shoes off before he climbed into bed next to her. He took a hold of her hand and kissed her palm softly.

"Have you decided what kind of ring you wanted to get?" Spencer questioned. Even if he had perfectly planned proposing to Melanie, he would not know what kind of ring to get her. Melanie was never the flashy kind, nor did she wear a lot of jewelry. "I know it's something I should well...already know but I much rather have it be a ring you'd enjoy."

Melanie turned her head to give her fiance a smile. To her, it was sweet that Spencer gave Melanie this option. She placed her free hand on Spencer's cheek and leaned in to give him a kiss on the lips.

"Spence, ring or no ring - it does not matter to me. Truth be told, I don't know much about rings except for the size I wear them. I know there's different types of cuts and karats. But we can take a look around and see what we can find, yeah?" She responded. With the hand that rested upon his cheek, she moved it so she could comb her fingers through his unruly long brown hair.

"That sounds good." He agreed. The feeling of the girl running her fingers through his hair made him feel relaxed, as if being on an island at a five star hotel wasn't relaxing enough. He moved closer to his girl and nuzzled his head into the crook of her neck.

Spencer's actions made Melanie smile as she kissed the top of his head. If they weren't in such a gorgeous place, Melanie would want to stay in the room for the whole time they were here. Maybe they could if they were the ones who paid for it but because David did, they definitely wanted to make the most of it.

"Can we just stay in this bed forever?" Spencer mumbled. It was like he had read her mind, which made the journalist chuckle lightly.

"I had the exact same thought actually." Melanie laughed. "Because this is nice. Nothing, or no one, interrupting us. Though I'm sure the team wants to. They're just being nice about it."

Spencer laughed softly. He lifted up his head to look at her. "Probably. After Maeve died, I still helped out the team even though I was supposed to take it easy. I guess it's hard when you're used to always being on the go and having something to do so when you just sit around and do nothing, it's painful."

"You and I, we're the same." Melanie teased.

Spencer leaned over and kissed her cheek. "That's why I'm in love with you and want you to marry me."
