| TWO YEARS LATER |

"Mells? Mel's are you there?" questioned the frantic voice on the other end of the voice.

Melanie felt like her heart had plummeted right down her stomach. Her mouth went dry and she felt like she had no words to say.

"Y-Yeah Penelope. I'm here." She said softly.

Having been told that her brother was involved in a car accident along with his colleagues was not what made her stomach twist in various knots. It was because the infamous Peter Lewis, also known as Mr. Scratch, was back on his bullshit and cause it (the details on how that happened we're still unknown to her). On top of that, it had been absolute radio silence between the tech analyst and her co-workers.

Melanie cleared her throat. "I'll take the first flight out right away." She said rather quickly. With that being said, she hung up the phone before placing her head into her hands.

A wave of emotions just hit the girl. She didn't know whether to cry or to be angry that Scratch really did stoop this low to try and take out her brother and his team. It had been two years since there was anything from Scratch and all of a sudden he came out of nowhere.

The girl took a deep breath and stood up from her bed to begin packing. While doing so, she gave Joy a call and let her know what was going on. Fortunately enough, she was understanding and let her take the time that she needed.

A 5 hour flight felt like the most agonizing pain ever - and that's coming from Melanie who had been taken by Scratch herself and was tortured. When she landed into the D.C. airport, Penelope was waiting for her. There was no time for greetings especially in the current state they were all facing.

When they got to the hospital, Melanie looked around the waiting room until her eyes fell upon a familiar face.

"Luke!" she cried out.

The man stopped pacing and looked towards the voice that called out his name; his eyes widening when he saw his sister.

Melanie ran over to her brother and jumped into his arms. Luke instantly wrapped his arms around Melanie tightly.

"You're okay." She muttered into his chest. When she pulled away from her brother, she had noticed there wasn't much, or any for that matter, marks on him. "When Penelope told me she couldn't get through to you guys...I thought maybe you had-"

She stopped herself from saying the inevitable. Especially when Scratch was behind all this, she was sure that he would've picked all the agents off and a car accident was a way to do it.

Luke pulled his sister back into a tight hug. Not because he just left unscathed from a car accident but because it had been a long while since he had seen her. After what he just had been through, seeing his sister was comforting for him.

"How...how is everyone?" Melanie asked, pulling away.

"Tara...she got hurt pretty bad. She was bleeding internally. JJ got a bit of glass in her scalp. Rossi's getting treated right now." Luke explained. "Emily...she's missing."

Melanie's eyes widened. "Missing? What do you mean she's missing?!"

Luke sighed softly. "Scratch took her and we don't know where. We're gonna find her, don't worry."
