Taehyung woke up by the sound of quick steps outside his door. He stood up rubbing his eyes.

When he stepped into the kitchen he was almost ran over by his mom and his dad running right behind her, and laughing.

"Min-jae, stop, I don't have time for this" Taehyungs mother said trying to sound serious but she ended up laughing again.

She ran around the dining table and Taehyungs dad on the other side hunting her.

"Ahhh Sora my dear, I just want a goodbye kiss" he said looking at his wife on the other side of the table.

"No Mister, no time for that" Taehyungs mother said smiling.

She ran into the living room but Taehyungs dad caught her and lifted her up in his arms, he gave her the biggest kiss on the cheek Taehyung had ever seen. His dad placed Taehyungs mother on the ground again and left the room like nothing happened.

"ughh" Taehyungs mother yelled while wiping the wet kiss off of her cheek with a smile on her face.

Taehyung could't help but laugh. It's amazing that his parents still could run around like that.

His mother went into the kitchen "oh morning Taehyung, are you ready to visit Mrs. Parker today?and Ellie is coming too?"

Taehyung nodded "yes, she'll be here in a few minutes".

"Perfect"

"I dreamt of the wanker again" Ellie sighed when she approached Taehyung.

Taehyung clenched his teeth and showed his box smile "Ah Ellie, maybe its faith?"

Ellie wrinkled her nose in disgust "the last one i would be with, is Elias" she stated.

They reached Mrs. Parker's house. It was a normal Korean house, beige colored, army green roof, brown windows. The door opened and an old lady spread her arms to welcome them. "ah Ellie and Taehyung, look how much you've grown" she said with her warm and mild voice

Mrs. Parker was for both Ellie and Taehyung an extra grandmother. She babysitted them a lot when their parents worked or was out. But since they started to take care of themselves and started in high school they haven't seen each other in a long time.

Mrs. Parker was 82 years old, but she seemed much younger and she still had the most beautiful house. Minimalistic but still with a lot of personal stuff. Taehyung remembered walking around in her living room and looking in her drawers.

Most of the time they spent in her basement, which was adventure world for Ellie and Taehyung. She had old letters from family members, where the writing was impossible to read. She had old jewelry, and old maps, books from all around the world and pictures of family members more than seven generations away.

But the thing Taehyung admired the most about Mrs. Parker was her love story. She and her husband found each other under the Korean War. Mr. Parker was a young soldier from the U.S and Mrs. Parker was the Korean sergeants daughter. They fell in love but Mr. Parker had to go back to the U.S after the war ended. After eight years Mr. Parker moved to Korea in hope of finding her again. He did, and they married each other. He died of cancer 10 years after that, but Mrs. Parker still talked to him everyday like he wasn't gone.

They settled down at her little round mint green kitchen table. Taehyung remembered sitting here and reading Mr. Parker's old books from London.

"How have you been doing?" She asked, looking at her guests while folding her small wrinkled hands.

Taehyung and Ellie looked at each other smiling a bit.

Mrs. Parker sensed something " one of you have found the love" she smiled.
Taehyung caught Ellie's eyes wrinkle and she pressed her lips together not smile.

Mrs. Parker looked at Taehyung "ah who is he?" she asked, her eyes lit up in happiness.

Taehyung had never told her which gender he was into, he never told anybody?

"Ah Mrs. Parker, I'm not sure about it yet" he said hinting to the liking guys part.
Mrs. Parker put her hands on top of his "don't worry dear, you will find out one day" after that she smiled at Taehyung then she turned to Ellie.

"Now Ellie are you alright, dear ?" She asked looking a bit worried.
Ellie wrinkled her nose in confusion "eh yeah? I'm alright, school and volley practice are the things I'm focusing on now" she answered. Mrs. Parker was often worried about Ellie, she was always working hard, too hard if you ask Mrs. Parker. That's probably why she asked like that.

They continued to talk about school, their parents, Korean dishes and lots of other stuff until Mrs. Parker had to rest.

While she went to bed, Taehyung and Ellie went down in the basement.
Its nothing like an old gross basement, it had a beautiful red velour rug and mahogany furniture on top. Huge bookcases was standing against half of the walls in the basement.
Boxes were on the floor where there was books, clothing, jewelry lots other stuff that they needed to organize. The things was owned Mr. Parker's sister who died recently, Mrs. Parker said that she gladly wanted her things.

It took them around two hours to sort and put everything in the right places. They used the time to also talk about the future, Ellie had so many future plans that Tae loved to hear about, everything was sorted out for her. She tried some of jewelry on for fun while talking. After they vacuumed the space they plumped down in the red velour sofa.

"It kinda scary that she knew about jk" Ellie said while looking at the final result.
Taehyung hummed from the other side of the sofa, gone in his own thoughts.

Ellie sat up and looked at him "sorry, if you don't want me to mention him i won't"

Taehyung looked at her but before he could answer a drop of blood fell out of her nose.
"Wow Ellie you have a nosebleed" he said standing up.

Ellie raised her hand and touched her upper lip then looked at her finger "oh yeah" she said shocked with wide eyes, she laid back in the sofa, of course she had tried this before.
6 years with volleyball gives a few nosebleeds .
Taehyung rushed out after some tissues.

When Ellie's nosebleed stopped, they went upstairs. She still kept small paper balls in her nostrils.
They stepped into the kitchen seeing Mrs. Parker who was baking.

"Oh lord, did you hit her Taehyung?" she said with a smile on her face.
Taehyung and Ellie laughed.
"You guys better go home and do some homework" she turned around and took something from the counter.
"Here, thank you so much for helping me and for the great conversation, you two are something special"
Mrs. Parker handed them some money.

Both of them were about to say no to the money but Mrs. Parker lightly pushed them out of the door.
"Take care" she waved at them.
"Really take care" she mumbled before she closed the door.

i know there's a lot of people in this story but i hope you're still on track.

i've hinted to a major thing in this chapter - have you figured it out? the thing is gonna turn everything upside down in the story - but we'll see ;)

Also i was the character Mrs. Parker is actually inspired by my grandmother. She almost psycic (ironic) but she literally sense everything. She also has a basement looking like Mrs. Parkers. aaaaah i love heeer.
