Taehyung's reaction to Ellie being sick was worse than Jimin's. Even though he knew it already.

He ended up in Ellie's arms with her playing with his hair and Jimin laying in his lap. No one had said anything in an hour, it was nice.

Jimin sat up and looked at Taehyung with a weird smile just as soon as Taehyung mother opened the door to the room and smiled when she saw the three friends laying half on top of each other in the hospital bed.

"You know the bed is only supposed to have one person in it" she laughed while writing down some stuff from the screen thingy that counts Ellie's heart rhythm and other stuff.

The friends snorted at the same time. "Sora when can i leave this horrible place" Ellie sighed. "i mean your work is truly amazing, and the things you do for people is amazing, but i'm a junior in high school and the team captain for the girls volleyball team so staying at this hospital doesn't fit very well into my schedule".

Taehyung's mother laughed and caressed Ellie's head "i'm sorry honey, but you need to stay here for a while" she gave Ellie a little encouraging smile.

"and you two" Taehyung mother looked at Taehyung and Jimin "i'm off from work at 3 am, so you can drive home with me"

"cool" Jimin said while Taehyung smiled and nodded to his mother. Wow time goes fast.

When Taehyung mother closed the door behind her, both Jimin and Ellie looked at Taehyung at the same time.

"You" Jimin pointed at Taehyung. "Now that I have told my love story and Ellie told hers, you have to give us details from yours"

Taehyung bit his lip. There's a lot that he had not told his friends...

"after Jin's party, he followed me home or he chased me home, then i suddenly felt really horny and asked him to kiss me, we somehow ended up in my room and then" Taehyung suddenly paused.

"then what?" Jimin said quick as he leaned forward.

"Taehyuuung?" Ellie said him.

"we . had . sex "

"woooooooooooooooooo" Ellie said with wide eyes. Jimin opened his mouth like an o.

"you had sex, with jungkook, the football player, the hot one" Jimin said, slowly trying to process the whole thing.

"i think i'm in love with him" he said staring at his best friends.

Jimin stared at him, just like Ellie. "wow"

It was 3:35 am. Taehyung sat in the back of the car beside Jimin. His mom sat in front humming an old love song which played on the radio.

Both Taehyung and Jimin promised Ellie that they would come back after they've slept a few hours

"Jimin your mother texted me and asked me to drop you off at home" Taehyung mother said as she turned down the music from the radio.

Jimin furrowed his eyebrows and mumbled "that bitch".

Taehyung looked at Jimin grumpy face and smiled.

Jimin got off a few minutes later leaving Taehyung on the back seat alone and his mom in front, music was still playing from the radio.

"mom, what exactly is leukemia?" he asked when they got to a red light.

"Ellie has something called acute myeloid leukemia, it's a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells, it's characterized by the rapid growth of abnormal cells that build up in the bone marrow and blood and interfere with normal blood cells"

Taehyung nodded slowly, he had read about blood cells for biology, but imagining that all of that happened inside Ellie was hard.

His mother sighed "it's not a gentle cancer, at all, but Ellie is a fighter and she'll get through it, sometimes she'll act normal, and sometimes she'll be sick, and by that i mean really sick and that's is the going to be the hardest part for us to experience" she answered, with her eyes still on road.

Taehyung bit his lip and looked away from his mother.
