Chapter 8: Learning how to fight a Dementor

- Aidan's Prov
I made it to the M.A.C.U.S.A Auror's office and he was there getting stuff ready "Oh, there you are Aidan" he told me "So, how do I fight a Dementor?" I asked him "Settle down" he told me "Since this room's a bit too small we're going to do this outside on the soccer field" he told me "Can we hurry please?" I asked him "I just got into a fight with my sister" I told him and I helped him with the stuff and he has a chest and something was clearly in it and trying to get out and he took a handle and I took the other and we went out to the soccer field and set the chest down "So" he started and stood in front of me "Are you really sure about this Aidan?" he asked me "This is incredibly advanced magic way beyond the ordinary wizarding level" he told me "I'm positive" I told him "Alright then" he replied "So the spell that i'm going to try to teach you is called the Patronus Charm" he told me "Have you ever heard of it?" he asked me and I shook my head no "I've never heard of anything like that before" I told him "Well, a Patronus is a type of positive force and for a witch or wizard who can conjure one" he was explaining "It works sort of like a shield with the Dementor feeding on it than him or her who are casting it" he explained "But what does a Patronus look like?" I asked him "Each Patronus is unique to the one who can completely conjure it up, but in short" he went on "True Patronuses take the form of different kinds of animals" he told me "When I do it my Patronus takes the form of a bear" he told me "A bear?" I asked and he nodded "But in order for it to properly work, the incantation alone isn't enough" he told me "Then how do I properly cast it?" I asked him "You need to think of a memory" he told me "What kind of memory?" I asked him "Not just any memory" he told me "A very very happy memory and a very powerful memory" he told me "So you mean I need to think of an extremely happy memory?" I asked him "Correct" he replied "Can you do this?" he asked me "I think I can" I told him "I can try though" I told him "Very well" he replied then two werewolves came and called for me "OH YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" I yelled and turned to them "Your sister sent us to look for you" one of them said "Well you can tell her that I told her that I don't want to see her anymore" I told them "After she lied to me I will never forgive her for this" I told them and they came to me "What are you doing anyway Alpha?" one of them asked me "Okay, 1 please call me by my name and 2 i'm learning how to fight a Dementor" I told them "After I was attacked by one I must learn how to fight them" I told them then one of them looked to his friend "He's got the confidence and the bravery of a werewolf like us" he told him "I'm half werewolf" I told them "So is my sister, me and Alina are both half werewolf and half human" I told them "Well technically we're half werewolf" I told them "Our mother was a human before our father turned her into a werewolf and I inherited my mother's human side of our family and Alina inherited our father's werewolf side" I told them "Well, can we watch your lesson?" one of them asked "Um sure" I replied and I turned back to the M.A.C.U.S.A Auror "Sorry, can we continue the lesson?" I asked him and he nodded "So what do I need to do in order to conjure up a Patronus?" I asked him "You need to think of an extremely happy memory and hold onto that memory with all your might" he told me "Got it" I replied "Close your eyes" he told me and I closed my eyes "Concentrate" he told me and I tried thinking about something extremely happy "Explore your past" he told me then I picked the memory of the excitement I had when I was accepted into Ilvermorny "Do you have a memory?" he asked and I nodded "Allow it to fill you up" he told me "Lose yourself within it" he went on "And speak the incantation, Expecto Patronum" he told me "YOU GOT THIS ALPHA!" one of the werewolves yelled and the other one agreed with him "Expecto Patronum" I said out loud "Very good Aidan" he told me then I opened my eyes and looked at him and he went to the chest "Since we can't use a real Dementor we're going to use a Boggart" he told me and I nodded "Are you ready?" he asked "I'm ready" I told him "Wand at the ready" he told me then I opened my backpack and pulled my wand out of it and threw my backpack a little away and pointed my wand at the chest and he unlocked the chest and made sure I was really ready and I nodded and took a deep breath and I tried my best to hold onto the memory of the excitement I felt when I was accepted into Ilvermorny and he opened the chest and a Dementor came out of it
