Chapter 24: A few days later and Zane's disappearance and trying to find him

- Aidan's Prov
Its been a few days now and apparently my Protective Enchantments didn't work properly because me doing it alone wasn't enough and now Zane disappeared and we're looking for him and Lucinda used a spell to reveal his footprints and it leads to a bookshelf but half of them are under the shelf and everyone was wondering how that's possible "It's possible to phase through solid objects when you're a Master of Smoke, but this is clearly child's play" I told them "What do you mean?" Hunter asked me "Yeah Aidan, what do you mean?" Alina asked and I pulled out my wand and pointed it at the bookshelf "Revelio!" I exclaimed and the tip of my wand bursted into flames but didn't damage my wand and the bookshelf became transparent and we could see through it but that's all I could do "I'm not able to make the Revealing Charm completely work, I need someone to combine their powers with mine" I told them "But you revealed a secret passageway" Aphmau told me and Alina walked forward and pulled her wand out and pointed it at the bookshelf "I'll help" Alina told me and I pointed my wand at the bookshelf again "You know how to cast Revelio?" I asked "Yep" Alina replied then both of us raised our wands "Revelio!" I exclaimed "Revelio!" Alina exclaimed and we both flicked our wands at the bookshelf in unison but it still wasn't enough "We need one more person to combine our magic" I told them and I turned to Hunter "Hunter, we need you" I told him and Alina agreed and Hunter walked up and pulled his wand out "Okay, on three" I told them "Alright" Alina told me "Got it" Hunter replied "You three can do this" Aaron told us "One" I said and we got ready to cast "Two" I told them and we raised our wands "THREE!" I yelled "REVELIO!" Hunter, Alina and I yelled in unison while flicking our wands at the bookshelf together and our spells combined as one and hit the bookshelf and it faded away and a hidden passage was behind it and we walked in "Thanks Hunter and Alina" I thanked them "No problem" they replied and we all followed the footprints and it was pretty dark so I raised my wand "Lumos" I said and conjured up a ball of light

and Alina and Hunter did the same and when we reached a fork in the cave the the footprints started fading away "Oh no" I said out loud and everyone started panicking and Lucinda couldn't cast the spell again and I sighed "We're gonna have to split up" I told them and they thought I was crazy "It's okay, Alina you go with mom, if something bad happens, you capable of protecting yourself and Mom, Hunter you go with Garroth you can protect him and yourself if something happens" I told them "What about Lucinda and I?" Aaron asked "I can take care of myself" Lucinda told him "And the wand I made you should be very useful" I told her because when she couldn't use her magic I looked up everything on wand lore and created her her own wand and her new wand looks like this

I made it out of Pine wood and Unicorn hair, 10 inches and reasonably supple flexibility, I studied Wandlore before Alina, Hunter and I travelled through time to get here in case we lose our wands, then I can try making us new ones, seems everything I studied paid off, so Lucinda's new wand should be incredibly useful to her, "And I'll go with dad" I told them and they agreed after a while and we went down the different pathways and I was a little ahead of Aaron and he ran to me "You stay close to me, so I can protect you" Aaron told me and I turned to Aaron "I don't need people protecting me, I can protect myself and I am more than perfectly capable of looking out for myself" I told him "Why are you always like this?" Aaron asked me "Like what?" I asked turning to him "Why are you always like that having that attitude and running off by yourself?" Aaron asked me and I turned around "That has no concern of yours" I told him and he made me look at him gently "It does concern me" Aaron told me "Why would you think that?" I asked him and he looked a bit shocked "Because I am your father, and it's my job to worry about you and concern for your safety" he replied "How would I know about any of that when you and mom were never there for me and Alina?" I asked him and after I realized what I said I covered my mouth and he stayed quiet for a bit and stared at me "What do you mean, Aph and I were never there for you and your sister?" Aaron asked me and I uncovered my mouth and turned back to the way we were going "I said too much, I can't tell you anymore" I told him "Come on, I can see something up ahead" I told him and I was about to walk until Aaron grabbed my arm stopping me "Aidan Adrian Derek Daniel Lycan, you tell me what you mean now" Aaron told me angrily a little "Fine" I told him turning to him "You really want to know why i'm like this and what I meant?" I asked him and he nodded with a stern look on his face "It's because you and mom disappeared when I was one" I told him "Alina and I lived our whole lives with different members of our family" I told him "And all my life i've been defined by someone else" I told him "How?" Aaron asked "Because I was once a student to Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, then I was a student of Phoenix Drop High, then I was the Alpha Male of Phoenix Drop High" I told him and he seemed shocked at what I said "You're the Alpha Male?" Aaron asked me "And Alina's the Alpha Female" I told him "And how did we disappear?" Aaron asked "You and mom sacrificed yourselves for me and Alina to get away from a man who wanted to kidnap me because i'm a Realm Guardian but you and mom weren't going to give me up so you and mom fought him while Alina and I got away and grandpa Derek and grandma Rachel took us in and raised us" I told him and he stayed quiet as he was INSANELY shocked that he wasn't even there for any of my firsts, he and mom missed every single one of my firsts, my first time walking, my first time talking, my first time eating actual food, everything I did for the very first time, he and mom missed, especially my acceptance letter to Ilvermorny, "You're not stuck here, are you?" Dad asked me so I sighed and pulled out a type of necklace but with Vengestone in it "Temporal disrupter basically, Vengestone dampens my Elemental Powers" I told him as he was examining it "Why didn't you just tell us when we met?" Aaron asked "Because if you knew my sister, step-cousin and I weren't sealed here, you'd send us back home right away" I told him "So at Love~Love Paradise was-" he was about to say "Was basically the very first time I met you and mom" I told him and he was shocked that when we met, it was pretty much the first time I met my parents and that he was shocked that I don't have any memories of him or mom, I only have a picture of me, mom, Alina and dad when I was a baby but that's about it, I didn't know a single thing about my parents until I met them in this timeline, "Even when I tried being my normal self Master Lloyd told me no I must become the Realm Ninja" I told him "And in order for me to become the Realm Ninja I have to unlock my True Potential, which I can't unlock but I don't know what's holding me back" I told him "Aidan, I want you too know something" Aaron told me "What?" I asked "I promise to be the father that Alina and you never had" Aaron told me "I promise that I will do everything in my power to keep you, Alina and Aphmau safe" Aaron told me and I thought it through "And I promise to be a better son even though i'm technically not your son yet" I told him "Is that the real reason why you, Hunter and Alina came here?" Aaron asked me "To find the one who captured me and Aphmau and stop him or her so you three can change the timeline?" Aaron asked "Yes" I replied "The second we find him or her, the only way to save you and mom is to kill the person" I told him "If we kill him or her here they would never have taken you from us and you would be our father and Aphmau will be our mother and you two can raise Alina and I properly" I told him "You only came here so you can change your lives?" Aaron asked "Yes, and I know the rules of time travel and we want to do this to save you and mom" I told him and he was actually pretty touched by that but was disappointed that we wanted to kill the person who took him and Aphmau away from me and Alina and ruined our lives "Aidan, revenge doesn't solve anything, if you do that, you'll be just as bad as them" he told me "I know the difference between right from wrong, Alina made sure I knew that, but I need to do this, I thought of every possible outcome of an alternative way to save you and Mom without killing the person but nothing worked, it's one life to save yours" I told him then we continued walking down the tunnel and I heard something "Dad, stay behind me" I told him getting in front of him and I cautiously walked forward with my wand at the ready and we just found Lucinda and we were in a cave filled with those green crystals and their the ones Aaron found.
