I was standing in my backyard and I saw a figure kneeling next to the mud patch.
“Abhaas, what are you doing here?”
I was shocked beyond words.

“I'm planting flowers. You didn't bother to take care of our flower blossom, did you?”
“Hey! I did try okay. Can't you see the used tools in storage?”
“Yes I did see. You didn't clean them either.”

Abhaas was being so annoying. But how come he's here, talking to me and not even remotely mentioning why he left without telling me?

“I heard you helped mom with her garden.”
Abhaas suddenly changed the topic.
“Yeah. She wanted me to help her so I did. It bloomed beautifully. But this patch under my bedroom window refuses to grow. It is like an adamant piece of land.”
“Well, I disagree. Look, the flowers are blooming.”

I was shocked to see the flowers freshly bloomed.
“How did you manage to grow them so soon?”
I asked him with astonishment.
He just smiled at me and then started walking towards the exit.
“Where are you going Abhaas?”
I could see the image blurring.
“Hey wait for me. No- no- no- no…. Don't you dare leave!! Abhaas…., ABHAAS!!”

ABHAAS!!!
I woke up. Was that a dream? I got up from the bed and ran towards my window. I opened it in force and looked below. Ugh! The patch is still dry and lifeless. Not a single flower there. So that was a dream.

I slouched below the window pane. If that was me hallucinating, let it continue. If that was me in a dream, let that dream last FOREVER!

I looked down and my light grey t shirt had turned all sweaty and smelly.
It was only yesterday that my exams were over, that finally I could focus on stuff other than studies and I'm back on the same page. I'm back on Abhaas. I just keep coming back. It's like he never left my mind. I wonder if he dreams about me. Because, if he doesn't then this is an unfair game of destiny. I don't deserve to suffer while he's enjoying his life in Pune. I'm losing myself every minute.

If I need to improve my state, like really get a grip on myself, I must take control of my activities. I'll plan the day and work accordingly. Focus, that's the golden rule.

I needed a diary and pencil to plan my day out. So I got up and opened the drawer in my desk. While rummaging through the stuff inside, I found a piece of paper. I opened it and realized it's Nihav's number. I completely forgot that I was supposed to call him. Great Ahana, you've already lost a friend and now you refuse to respect the person that is willing to be your friend. He must be upset, kind of obvious. I'll make sure I message him today.

I'll go out for a jog, to clear my mind. Then I'll come home and watch TV or read a book. I'll message Nihav, ask him how he's doing and maybe plan a lunch or dinner with him. Thereafter I'll cook some pasta; white sauce? Sounds perfect. But for that I'll have to go grocery shopping. Yep, that goes on the list.

I'll deliver some to Mrs Kale as well and thank her for the dinner and gift as well as apologize for being so lost for the last whole month. Then I'll come home, have dinner and sleep.

I was satisfied with the schedule and decided to go with it. I changed into a pair of track pants, a polyester net fleece jacket and my running shoes. I wore earphones and set out. I fed my phone with my scedule and tuned into music.

After like fifteen minutes, I had reached the playground, where I grew up playing with my friends. I did a few stretches there and saw the sky growing pinkish yellow as the sun was rising. Soon a mango coloured sheet spread all over the sky and a pleasant ball of sun could be seen rising. Sunrise, amusing as ever.
