(1 year later)

“Ahana!!!"
I heard Abhaas call for me, again.

I was in the bedroom, getting ready for his office party. The one thing I love a lot about being his wife is that I know what irritates him and I do exactly that to see his angry face. I set the clock in living room half an hour ahead just to see him get all angry and frustrated about how much time I take to dress up and how he is going to be late for his own success party.

“Ahana we're getting late and I'm reminding you for the nth time.” he warned, Again.

I'm such a brat, messing with his brain. But then, he doesn't know that I'm wearing his favourite colour. It is a plain red saree with black border. There is shimmer all over it and the material hugs my curves all at the right places. The blouse is a black shimmery piece with two straps on my shoulders and the drape falls elegantly from my left shoulder. My hair is up in a big bun, just messy enough to frame my face with few hair swirls.

“Ahana, either you come out right now or I'm lifting you up in whatever condition and taking you to the party.”
I opened the door to our bedroom and went out. The angry Abhaas boy was stunned, his mouth open and eyes a darker shade of brown. Instead of going towards him and kissing him, something that I usually do, I went towards the clock and turned it to current time.

“What are you doing?"
I heard him whisper in my right ear and felt his warm breath on my neck.
I turned and encircled his neck with my arms.
“I'm adjusting the clock to the right time."
“And why is that?” He asked.
" Because, I turned it half an hour ahead just to piss you off." I winked at him.

" My little mischievous minx, aren't you?"
He asked, his tone creating butterflies in my stomach.
"Oh, I remember, somebody was getting all late and angry at me.” I smiled mischievously.
" Don't be a tease Ahana, you might not make it to the party.”
“Ok. Let's leave before we get late." I said pushing him back. But he was in no mood of leaving his hold on my waist.

He said," Yes, we'll leave. But not before you tell me why you do such things to me.”
"Umm, let me think." I looked in his eyes.
“Maybe because I like to see you angry." I couldn't help the mischievous smirk on my face.
" Oh really? I thought you just like it when I'm hungry.” his voice sent chills down my spine. Boy I didn't see that coming.

“Abhaas, we're getting late." I lost all the confidence I had in me. Abhaas was rapidly taking control of my mind and soul, my knees were giving up.
“Abhaas, please don't stare at me like that. We might miss the party.”
As much as I pleaded, he kept leaning in and caught hold of my lips.

“You know what? Let's ditch the party, Ishaan Yash and Nihav will take care of stuff. I have some other important task here.”
" Nooo. Not missing your success party Abhaas.” I said wriggling out of his embrace.
" Oh come on!!" He complained.
“We won't stay long. But we need to be there." I said taking my purse and smartphone.

He followed me while still holding my saree drape in his hand.

What am I going to do to this guy? What good did I do to even be married to this man, my man.

The party was really good. Ishaan and Abhaas even launched a new branch of their company and are now partnering with Nihav and Yash.

All ten of us were standing in the lawn area, with others sipping on their vine and me on my Mocktail. I just can't see myself drinking and losing control of my mind on purpose. Moreover with all of them drinking, somebody has to stay sober.

Anyways.
There might be more reasons for me to worry other than these people drinking. There are just too many girls here and they are checking out these guys like they are pieces of meat.
Do these many women work here? I need to appoint a bodyguard for Abhaas because I can't stand them flirting with him daily in the office.

What were they thinking wearing those dresses at an office party? This isn't a pub where they get wasted and flirt with the hot boss who by the way is MARRIED.
I was glad to see the feeling shared between Ulka, Snehal, Tara, Nupur and me.

They too were irritated, giving death glare to any female that was gawking at our men. As if on cue, one of the girls who looked way too confident approached us. She came and laced her hand around Abhaas’.
Like what in Hell is she doing?

This daredevil smirked at me and said,
“Sir, the party is amazing!!!" Squeaky little prick isn't she?
" Hey Natasha, that hand is making me uncomfortable." Abhaas was being polite but straightforward.
" Oh sir! You are funny."
That woman named Natasha squeaked again.

I was standing right in front of Abhaas with Tara and Snehal by my side and they were constantly nudging me. Yash, Nihav and Kunal looked uncomfortable already. Nupur held tight on Ishaan so as to save him from all this and Ulka was constantly poking Abhaas, asking him to get rid of her.

Nobody misbehaves with my husband.
I gave the Mocktail to Tara to hold, lunged forward and caught hold of Abhaas’ tie.
I pulled him in and kissed him deep. Well, Natasha still had his hand in her hold but guess who has caged his lips now?

“Just to mark my boundaries crystal clear, Natasha." I said after we broke the kiss.
"If you try your luck on him I'll be pleased to claw your face out.”

Natasha ran away as if she already saw my claws coming. All this time, I was holding his tie. I looked at him and he smiled, so hot I wanted to kiss him again.

“Tell me if she troubles you again, she could use some hair removal.” I said.
“But she was smooth." Nihav commented with a mischievous grin and got a nudge from Ulka.
" I meant her head." I corrected.

Everyone laughed.
"Jokes apart, this was sick." Tara stated.
“We know, but we can't just be rude to them.” Nihav replied.
" Yeah. Girls can just slap the guy who misbehaves with them, but we are guys. The most we can do is warn them or fire them.” Yash said as he snaked his arms around Tara.
“So you just let them flirt?" Snehal asked all shocked. She spoke my heart.

" Not exactly. We mention it a few times before it gets too much and then we just have to give them an ultimatum or fire them.” Ishaan said.
“But I don't want you to be subject to be treated like that, especially when I'm not there to help you.” Nupur said with concern.
"I can't even leave him alone in the office for a day without worrying too much.” Ulka looked scared.
" Oh pumpkin, don't worry. If something happens, I'll call you.” Nihav kissed her cheek lovingly.
"Yep, and once that flirt sees Ulka coming, she will run to the hills and never come back.” Kunal joked.

We laughed again. Abhaas pulled me closer and snaked his arm around my exposed waist. If that couldn't make me nervous and increase my heart rate then I don't know what will. He was teasing, making circular pattern on my waist, tickling slightly and then winking at me while sipping on his drink. The saree drape was nicely hiding his antics, making my knees jelly.

I think this is the best part of a married life with Abhaas, I don't know what's coming my way but whatever it is, we end up making the best of it and that too both outside and inside the bedroom.
