I entered my room and hit the door hard enough for the vibrations to penetrate to ground floor bedroom. I just wanted to make myself clear. I must start thinking about how I'm going to help her.For starters I can get details of who exactly this cousin is. There's certainly no point in proving the incapability of this cousin if any. Mr Bhatta appears as the orthodox man who believes in gender stereotypes. So either we can create a disagreement between Mr Bhatta and his brother and that way the firm won't be transferred to this cousin. Maybe the cousin is snobbish enough to say something offensive in context to Ulka. However he pretends, Mr Bhatta cannot hide the fatherly instincts that are buried in his heart. This I think may work. But for that, I need to meet this cousin. What if he is a great guy with all the necessary qualities to take over the firm. Possibilities are many and probability of success is thin.
My phone started ringing. It was a reminder to message Nihav. Good Lord it's already noon. I opened my phone book and found Nihav's number. Then I went to the messaging menu. Now I have to do is type. Type what? An apology letter for being underground for a month? Cut the crap. Be honest Ahana, he's a genuinely nice guy and he won't be that angry.
Nihav, hey. This is Ahana Kulkarni. Remember we met at the party? I know I'm like one month late to message you and I have no right to give excuses but I was genuinely caught up with exams. A little text wouldn't have hurt much and I'm sorry. Do text me back even if you are angry. Just so I know if I'll be making a new friend or losing one!
I sent it. I think I need to remind myself that my exams are over and there's no apparent need for me to write lengthy answers.
I decided to clean up, dress up and go grocery shopping for tonight's pasta. I need it to be perfect because I'll be delivering some of it to the Kales and I need to explain many things to Mrs Kale.

I was finally ready and out of my house. The sun was comparatively mild on the day and that really made my mood. I got a call from Myra. Hell I haven't spoken to her since last paper.
“ Hey queen bee, what's up?" I started our conversation.
" Heya, where are you, back home?" She asked.
“ Nah, in heaven, wanna join?”
" Seriously, where are you?”
" I'm currently on the road going to the superstore. I needed few groceries.”
" Ooh. Okay, see ya-”
" Hey hey, why did you ask?”
" Nothing, I'll talk to you later. ” She quickly cut the call.
That was a weird conversation. Why does she care where I am? She didn't bother to ask me what is wrong after that scene at the basketball match. She didn't even apologize did she? And now this cryptic call. This girl makes me question my trust on her. It's always her presence is of two faces. Don't know which one is true, the sweet one or evil one. If I'm not right about her and indeed she is still evil, she's being sweet for some reason. Human being, indeed a complex puzzle.
I reached the grocery store, pulled out a trolly and embarked on my food trip. I reached the pasta section and stocked upon few penne pasta packets, there was cream, milk, mozzarella cheese, processed cheese and mix herbs.
My phone buzzed, again. Okay that's annoying, give this girl some me time dude. I clicked on the notification tab and saw Nihav's reply.
Who Ahana?
I wrote a whole essay for him and he replies with two words. Calm down, he has a right to be angry. He must've been waiting for my text. I'm a month late already. So let's cut him some slack and be the polite friend I should be.
I'm the Ahana that is a month late to text you. The same one who's sorry for this and who thinks you are really angry. I'm ready to make it up to you.
I replied.
I waited.
I got another notification.
In that case Nihav would be picking her up this Friday 4pm and taking her somewhere. No questions asked no options given.
Yes, he's angry, but harmless at the same time.
Deal. I'll be ready.
I replied.
I pushed my phone back in my purse and moved my trolly furthur in the veggies section. I could get fresh local veggies in the market but others I'll collect here.
I quickly reached the billing counter and started putting my stuff out. By mistake I dropped the packet of baby corns so I bent down to pick it up. But instead a masculine hand picked them up and I got up to see. The same Hazelnut eyes from college, the charming smile and looks girls could die for. What was he doing here and how come he knew I was here!
He gave me the packet and I pulled it towards me.
“Thank you." I said.
He smiled, not the genuine one but more of trying to impress one. And boy, I was impressed. No doubt he had half of the college following him everywhere.“Roses look really good on you, Rose."
Roses? I wasn't wearing any roses. I looked down and realized I was wearing a scarf with roses on it. Why am I even wearing this. I tried to pull it out and within that time, he left. He left and left a little card in my trolly. Man, not another mystery!! I'm already standing with a basket full of them.“Cash or card?" The counter lady asked me.
“Uh, roses?" I was in a daze.I paid in cash and gathered all the stuff in my bag. Life is suddenly back to it's happening nature and it is making me nervous. I don't like to face life not knowing what is coming my way. That elaved me under prepared for the situations. I'm just not ready for this life.

Is there a possibility that Ahana I'd going to end up with Nihav and not Abhaas?
