after the game and a major lose for the team, i was talking to chloe, piper and jess. i was hugging jess's arm, laying my head on her shoulder.
"it's so nice to see you guys back together." chloe smiled at us.
"it feels nice," i said.
she smiled as i saw my brother walk out of the locker room.
"alright girlies, i have to go." i said and kissed jessica's cheek.
"wait, are you coming to my party tomorrow?" jess asked.
"duh," i replied and hurried over to my brother.
"that was such a flop." he shook his head.
"its one game out of the tons that you've played this year. you guys are still the top in the district. if you win next week then you guys are in the play offs or whatever."
"don't you have soccer try outs next week?" he asked as we excited the school.
"yes," i nodded. "and the coach said that i'm still eligible to try out and be on the team."
"that's good," he said.
"i know," i smiled as we got to his car.
i felt my phone vibrate and saw a text from the unknown number again.
"we may have lost tonight, but your smile made me feel like i won." it read. "check your locker for a surprise."
"hey," i said to my brother. "i need to get something from my locker."
"if you walk back in there, you have to find another ride." he said. "i'm not waiting."
"fine," i said and jogged back to the school doors.
