elliotjames: nic, i love you so much. we've had our ups and downs but we're siblings. no matter what though, i'm always going to be wrapped around your finger. i'm missing so many classes right now but i am not leaving your side until your eyes open and you are safe at home. i feel shitty that i was in another state when this happened, when i knew what was going to happen. but i pray to god you're not taken from me so soon.

monty: nicolette emaline james, i'm so in love with you it hurts. i held you in my arms until the ambulance arrived. i watched it happen and i was part of the cause. i love you with my full heart princess, forever and always. i'm just waiting for your pretty brown eyes to open and look back at me. there are so many things i have planned for us and so many things i want to show you. there are so many words i want to speak to you. you just got into the school of your dreams and i want you to experience that. i want you to see me go big. i want to see you succeed in your life. i want to marry you and have kids with. i want you, i need you.

HANNAH'S POV
i stood in the hospital, nicolette was lying on the bed. her body almost lifeless. she had a mask over her face, keeping the oxygen flow. she had wires hooked up to every bit of her body. monty was fast asleep on the couch next to her. he'd been here for two days, since she got here. they'd done surgery to remove the bullet and had arrested tyler.
elliot and their dad went home to get some clothes and stuff for when she wakes up. jessica and jeff went to grab food and everyone else went home to sleep.
i watched monty, his chest rising and falling with each breath. he'd cried his heart out until he finally passed out. he was so in love with her, it pained me to watch this happen. he'd be so lost without her, i think we all would. she changed us all in a way and we all had so many of our own memories with her.
"hey," i heard someone whisper. i looked over and saw jessica with some food, jeff with the drinks.
"hey," i smiled and crossed my arms.
"when was the last time the doctor was in here?" jeff asked.
"about half an hour ago." i replied. "monty passed out right after."
"my heart broke when i watched tyler pull that trigger, but when i saw monty holding her and crying, i felt like i died." jessica said.
"me too," jeff agreed. "i've never seen monty in a state like that."
"when i called her dad, he didn't believe me at first. he thought i was joking." i told them.
