Peggy POV

"Happy Birthday, Love."

Shit. Why now world? "Can we please not worry about that right now?" I ask quietly, my voice becoming caught in my throat. I feel Maria tense up in my arms and it breaks my heart. "Mi amour..." I hum into her hair, "This just is not the right time. I promise that as soon as we get Ella back we'll celebrate, m'kay?"

"Alright," she sighs, pulling my even closer to her. She rests her hands on the small of my back and I immediately feel their cold tempeture seep through the back of my yellow sweater.

"Your hands are so cold," I mumble, pushing myself back slightly and taking her hands in my own. Slowly, I raise her hand to my lips and pepper kisses along her knuckles. As I finish up with the first hand and move to the second, I steal a glance at her adorable, cherry red face. I'm so fucking gay is all I can think as I feel the start of my own blush creep up my neck. There are so many things I want to do to her right now-

"EVERYONE! LIVING ROOM! NOW!!" Angelica's commanding voice yells. Guess my desires will have to wait. I pull Maria behind me as I make my way to the other room.

"Angie," I hear Eliza mumble while rubbing her eyes when we enter. Poor Liz just wanted to sleep.

"This is important, Liz," Angelica replies, rubbing our sister's shoulder.

"Now that you're all here," Alex cuts in while massaging his temple, "I found something."

"I think we figured that much, Alex. What'd you find?" Maria says.

"Well, I figured out where 'The Redcoats' hideout is. It's in Warehouse B17 on the west end of Manhattan," Alexander explains, turning his laptop around for us to see the location he pulled up on google maps.

"Let's go then!" I exclaim, turning to run out the door. John gentely grabs my arm to stop me.

"Peggs, first of all, it's past midnight. Second, we can't run into this blind. That would just raise the chance of one us getting killed. Trust me, I want to storm in there and kick ass as much as you do, but we can't underestimate George's goonies," John says softly. I sigh, then walk back to Maria's side and lean into her.

"Then when can we go?" Laf asks, clearly frustrated.

"Well, soon. We just have to prepare ourselves first. This is not going to be an easy fight," Alex answers. Then, even quieter, he adds something.

"Are you all ready to risk your lives?"

Theodosia POV

"Theo?" a shaky voice asks.

"Ella!" I scream, gathering the scared little girl into my arms. I had only met her a few days before when Lafayette and Hercules brought her into the restaurant, but I knew exactly who this platinum haired child was.

"What are you doing here?!" I ask frantically in french. She stares up at me with wobbly eyes before telling me everything. "I'll never meet another six year old as strong or as smart as you," is the only thing I can squeeze out after her story. I'm just grateful it wasn't as painful as my kidnapping.

Trigger Warning: Minor Violence

My shift finally ends at 10:30 pm. It's chilly outside, so I start to jog toward the parking garage to get to my car. Before I can enter the garage, though, I accidently bump into a large man.

"Sorry sir," I apologize quickly. Please ignore me I plead in my head.

"Where do you think you're going?" he spits. Dammit I mentally curse.

"My car," I say, speeding up my jog. Suddenly, the man is in front of me.

"I'm not done with you yet. Are you friends with Alexander Hamilton and John Laurens?"

"I suppose so," I answer questioningly.

"Then you're coming with me," he commands, an evil, toothy grin plastered on his face. And then I'm running. Running as fast as my legs will carry me. Apparently, though, not fast enough. The man grabs me.

'"You're gonna pay for that," he whispers in my ear before throwing me into a wall. I fall to the ground. Pull yourself together, Theo I think as I force myself to stand back up. I can feel the warmth of blood on my arms, but I choose to ignore it.

"I don't think so!" the man yells, kicking my legs out from under me. My head hits the pavement before everything goes black.

My entire body throbs as the flashback resurfaces the pain I had been trying so desperately to ignore. I turn my attention back toward Ella and try to put on my best brave face. Maybe she won't be so scared if I pretend that I'm not terrified.

"We're gonna get out of here. I promise."

A/N
Consistent update schedule? Never heard of her.

Seriously though. I apologize for the extremely slow updates. And sorry this chapter is so short :/

I hope you all had a fabulous Turkey Day!

And please note that Theodosia was talking to Ella in French. I would've wrote it in French, but I wanted to try and avoid google translate as much as possible because it's frustrating.

Love you all! Please alert me if you find any mistakes!

((Sidenote. Guess who's gonna see Hamilton in Chicago tommorow? I'm writing this on the car ride there right now. Expect pictures in a few days lol))
